The squid was not thick sadly, but luckily they fried it deeply in hot oil until it was golden brown and it definitely was so so so crunchy and crispy sinceit was just a thin layer of squid. It feels like you are chewing squid crackers (keropok). It was not so oily too as they placed a piece of oil filtering tissue at the bottom.
