Hotel Istana serves small bowl of noodles everyday. From pan mee, mihun soup to green curry noodles.Small portion but satisfaction for me. However, this greem curry was too tasteless for me. I felt that the food was just added with water and did not blend it really well. Or maybe because of personal preference, I think green curry must have a thick soup but in fact, this bowl of green curry is not up to the standard.

Did I mention about the variety of keropok/ chips serves in Hotel Istana? It was really really GOOD. I TOOK LIKE 4 rounds just for the Papadam Chips. The one showed in the picture was chips with spice. It is a famous food in Indian culture and tastes really good and addictive! By means of addictive, it carry the meaning of non-stop eating that chips and keep asking for more.If you happen to go there for a meal, do left some space for chips. You will not mind that tiny calories.

Seriously, I had never tasted any nice vegetarian buffets in hotel. In my memory, those hotel gave me an impression of 'commercial' vegetarian food i.e, taste is not up to standardFor the buffet here in Hotel Istana, I went for a second round in their vegetarian curry chicken. The curry powder smell was strong and taste just nice. However, it is a bit salty and since I like salty food, I love the curry. For me, in a curry, the most important thing is the thickness of curry, curry smell and saltiness.

Besides, the mushroom like abalone was good in texture, so chewy and QQ.
I just love everything there!

In Hotel Istana, they served different type of desserts and variety of them are consider more than smaller hotel. Besides of their food variety, you will definitely try their desserts because they had arranged in such a way that it is irrevisible. Top Left: The one with chocolate roll on top was cheese cake, it was moist and nice. Personally I prefer thick cheese cake, this is just nice and not too full after lunch. Top Right: Mango cup pudding, I am not a fan of fruity pudding, so this is total

Top Left: The one with chocolate roll on top was cheese cake, it was moist and nice. Personally I prefer thick cheese cake, this is just nice and not too full after lunch.

Top Right: Mango cup pudding, I am not a fan of fruity pudding, so this is totally out of my taste buds.

Left Down: Chocolate pudding/cake, I am confused with 'it's identity'. Not sure it was cake or pudding but it was nice and would like to eat more.

Quite a pleasant option for North Indian food in the city center, with a sterling service team that really knows its menu.Keeping things light at the outset of a heavy meal, starting with fresh, crisp papadum.Chicken drumstick stuffed with minced mutton (RM14++).
