Soup of the DayA nourishing soup indeed, that comes with groundnuts, pork meat and arrowroot or widely known as ‘fan kok’ amongst the Chinese. It is really delicious and healthy, not too salty and without the extensive use of MSG. This soup reminds me of the ‘fan kok’ soup that my mom used to cook very often at hFome. 叉烧云吞面~这云吞面还蛮好吃，不像外面卖的那种，这里的比较幼细和有嚼劲。至于叉烧方面，可能面食会比较有油，捞面的酱汁可能也加了油，所以店家会给比较少脂肪层的叉烧，但是放心，这比较少脂肪层的叉烧不会干铮铮的感觉...

这拼盘有四种烧腊：叉烧，烧肉，烧鸭还有烧鸡。随着这拼盘，店家会附上一碗叉烧汁。这叉烧汁真的不能小觑，就算我是最爱的烧腊店，叉烧汁都比这间店的逊色。这间烧味店的叉烧汁真的赞！不会太甜不会太咸而且香气四溢！烧鸭&烧鸡，味道很好很入味，而且肉质也不会甘铮铮，还很多汁呢！！烧肉，也是肥瘦适中，而且皮很脆！也很够味！叉烧，肥瘦刚刚好，就如黯然叉烧饭的一样，是真的好吃！

黯然销魂叉烧饭！这家店的招牌菜！按照周星驰的，一碗叉烧饭+荷包蛋+青江菜 = 黯然销魂叉烧饭！老板啊真的照足功夫了！！而且真的不负众望啊！很好吃呢！这叉烧是半肥瘦的，这样可以中和米饭的干，虽然还没到入口即化的地步，但是也不错了，可能不是每个人都喜欢入口即化软绵绵的感觉吧！所以他们的叉烧是介于比较有咬劲和入口即化之间。味道方面也很不错！不会太甜，刚刚好！！真心的赞！！

港式奶茶，不错哦！很够味！不会太甜，但是奶茶香很足够！柠檬薏米冰！第一次喝这样组合的饮料咧！薏米的清香甜，加上柠檬小小的酸味，感觉很清爽，很好喝。没想到这样的搭配可以这么好喝！

简易洁净的摆设是这店的风格...没有太多花俏的东西，最为吸引我的就是墙上那一排的黑胶唱片。而另外一幅墙则放着他们的招牌食物“黯然销魂叉烧饭”的大型海报，看到那碗叉烧饭真的流口水呢！！

The wantan was really huge in size and it was filled with prawns. The soup was soothing and good with noodles. I felt that the wantan skin was very smooth and it was very slippery. It was so comforting to eat it and i could eat a whole bowl of this I actually ordered two bowls of this, it was that good to be honest.

This platter had everything you want which are roasted such as duck, chicken and of course pork! The serving size was huge and I wished the roast pork was smooth.It was actually quite rough and hard. The fatty layer was too little in this roast pork compared to the barbecue pork rice. The roast chicken and duck was so-so. Somehow, i think they over roasted the duck because it was quite dry.

The Hakka Mee was too salty actually. They had a little bit of soup at the bottom but I think the minced pork was too salty causing the whole bowl of noodles to taste bad.The noodles were however quite smooth and there wasn't too much flour in it. It would be great only if the minced pork was less salty.

Well, this was so-so. Not my favourite because I thought it was oily. Even my sister thought so too, she previously came here for lunch too and this was still oily. However, the noodles were thin enough and serving size was alright. Maybe i was becoming bias because i had never been a fan of wan tan mee to start with. The char siew in this wasn't as smooth as those served with the rice.

This was heavenly! I am not a big fan of barbecue pork or char siew as it is commonly known. But, this char siew was great! The fatty layer was half ot piece of meat and it was very smooth, almost jelly like when I tasted it. The serving size was decent and I love jelly eggs which was perfect to eat with my rice.

Wantan (Shrimp and Pork) SoupBesides offering the noodles, there are also some ala carte like the Wantan Soup for a lighter meal. The dumplings are served in six pieces per order, and are quite large as compared to the usual wantan you would see. Wrapped within is the mixture of minced pork meat and also the chopped shrimps, which explains why this special fare is more chewy and comes with a more solid texture. Ipoh Chicken Hor FunFor those who enjoy clear soup noodle, this bowl of Ipoh Chicken Hor Fun would be a good choice. The noodles are very smooth and silky, bathing in the sweet broth that is boiled together with the chicken bones. There are also some side dishes accompanying which includes slices of chicken breast, fresh shrimps and scallions. Traditional Hakka NoodlesJust the moment am licking my chops, another interesting fare comes greeting by. It is the Traditional Hakka Noodles. Served with flat noodle in a nice ceramic bowl, the noodles are topped off with a bed of minced meat that have been nicely marinated, alongside with the sprinkles of fragrant spring onions. Barley Lime For those who feel bit cloying after feasting on some meaty dishes, a glass of Barley Lime will surely do good in clearing your throat a bit. Served with the nicely boiled barley drink in some ice cubes, there are some slices of lime added to add some zestfulness in it as well. That way, the drink won’t appear so dull but comes with some refreshing tinge of citrusy.
