The cranberry cheese bun is one of my all time favourite. It was really awesome so I’d really recommend it. This is the kind that will have you licking your lips in anticipation for the second bite. Simply toothsome! The soft cream cheese with the tanginess of cranberry is superb combination. continue reading

Hot skin and cold fresh cream. It is a unique combination because normal puff is cold. The also put some crush hazelnut or peanut crush. The skin is slightly or a little crusty but soft and fluffy. When you eat it, you can taste a little sweetness on the skin, although they used caramel but it is not sweet. The custard cream is nice, fresh and smooth. It is really nice combination with the skin. continue reading

The picture above is the maple butter bread from The Loaf. It is a flat bread with honey syrup poured onto it and on top of it is a layer of rock sugar coating. If anything, this bread will give you diabetes as it is super sweet. The salty butter did not help much in balancing out the sugary sweetness of the bread. The size of the bread is quite small around the size of my palm and quite flat too continue reading

Another round at The Loaf enables me to try their homemade cookies, instead of the usual breads. This pastry shop sells many varieties, and their cookies are packed in smaller packets with beautiful labels. Suitable as a gift, or sharing with friends and family.Marble Cookies @ from RM7.80 to RM8.80 each packFrom White Sesame, Cocoa, Coconut to Black Sesame, the cookies serve best as a snack for the family with just the right amount of sweetness! Out of so many flavours, my favourite is the Black Sesame because the cookie is light, and less sweet as compared to others. Every bite of the petite cookies is filled with strong sesame aroma which is great as a snack. continue reading

The Loaf never fails to satisfy me with their premium quality buns, cakes, biscuits and other pastries. They first opened in Langkawi, and few years ago they started to have branches in KL and Selangor areas, which is a good news for me because I do not have to travel so far to savour their breads and cakes. When I know that they opened in Puchong, I am so happy because it is just 20 minutes drive from the place I am staying. The branch in Puchong is rather small, but it is not short of variety. Loaf PotatoI try out the loaf potato, which is a hard bun with potato fillings. The bun is hard and chewy with a light saltiness, pairing well with the creamy potato fillings. The herbs sprinkled on top does make a good touch in adding up flavours to the bun. continue reading
