Curry Laksa. The curry laksa came with fish balls, chicken slices, tau fu pok, long bean and beansprout. The curry broth was not too thick but the flavour was fine with me. It has the curry flavour and not too diluted, slightly salty and slightly spicy. It was not oily which made it not so muak. The fish balls were springy. The tau fu pok was soft. The long bean was crunchy.

Pie Tee. Apart from the Nyonya restaurant that serves pie tee, I was quite surprised when I see The Chicken Rice Shop offers it as well. I am a fan of pie tee, and would like to try all varieties as possible. The skin was crispy and not too oily, it was thin as well. The fillings of sengkuang and carrots were not too salty and crunchy. The chilli was spicy and tangy too. Not bad.

I like to come here to eat chicken rice. I just don't know why. Maybe mainly because of the chilli. The chicken not to say very nice, but the chilli really can cover there chicken and make it taste nice. The chilli is well in fragrance and also. Chicken frankly speaking not to say not nice at all. I would say it's just an average score compare with normal chicken rice stall.

I ordered 1/4 roasted chicken rice combo meal. It came with a bowl of soup, a bowl of rice and chicken thigh, as well as chilli sauce and chopped ginger. The roast chicken was tender, and the gravy was slightly oily but the saltiness level was all right. The skin was full of roasted aroma. The rice was buttery and tasted of chicken oil, very fragrant and tasty. The chopped ginger was my most loved ingredients here, salty yet addictive!
