This outlet is located right next to the Sunway Lagoon entrance. Because the pavement outside was raised, there isn't much of a view through the restaurants which makes the overall indoors feel a little cramped. This outlet is located right next to the Sunway Lagoon entrance. Because the pavement outside was raised, there isn't much of a view through the restaurants which makes the overall indoors feel a little cramped. I went around 5:00pm and there was about a 2-person wait for each queue.

I ordered the 1-piece chicken set (original flavor) that comes with a biscuit, mash potatoes and a bottomless drink. I chose the Ice Tea! Though the sucky part was that mid-way through my meal, they removed the Ice Tea and it never got replaced after that. So, had to go for the soft drinks instead upset.I also ordered the Jalapeno Bombers along with it. The chicken was good and crispy. Flavor-wise, it isn't as rich as compared to KFC's original flavor. But it's quite juicy on the inside after the crispy outside. The size of the chicken thigh was quite big as I see that most places have started serving smaller portions. The mash potatoes were pretty standard, though it came with more gravy than usual.
I really, really liked the Jalapeno Bomberssmileheart. Usually it's cheese stuffed inside a Jalapeno deep fried, but here's it's the reverse where it's a batter filled with cheese and bits of Jalapeno. For my taste buds, they were just right and weren't too hot in flavor. The only let down is that I've had the same thing freshly made in Jaya Shopping Centre and those were really, really delicious. The ones here in Sunway Pyramid were just okay. Still good, but a little warm and not that crispy anymore.

Finally had the chance to try Texas Chicken that the boyfie was raving about! He was going on and on about how it was as affordable as McD and tastier than KFC. He especially emphasized on their honey biscuit! So since we were at Sunway Pyramid, he finally had the chance to get me to try Texas ChickenSo here is what we got at RM 5.95 not inclusive of tax.  This was the star of the whole meal. It was so fluffy and the honey and butter spead was so yummylicious! It was crumbly and practically melt in your mouth! I would seriously go back just to have this honey-butter biscuit.

 Meanwhile, the chicken was just average! KFC spicy chicken may not be doing so well these days but the spices for the Texas Chicken was not strong enough and not really incorporated into the meat. But the upside is that it was a huge piece! Comparing to KFC, Texas Chicken is twice the size and is sizzling hot!

The dessert that came together with our meal! This reminded me of Mcdonald's chocolate sundae, which... tasted better. Texas's sundae had a very chocolaty-coated flavor but the cream was quite dilluted unlike Mcd's which was creamier in texture as well. The cup was also quite small as you can see.. But for an add on side dessert it was quite cheap and worth it.

Texas fried chicken

Comparing to KFC's, Texas's fried chicken were similar but different at the same time. Their skin and crust were crunchier and so much more flavorful, but their meat was of no difference from KFC's. Flavor-wise, I think Texas wins for this. It has a warm and juicy chicken essence taste that was accceptable for a fast food restaurant. Judging by the crowd when I came, I guess everyone liked their chicken too.
