I have been wanting to bring my parents here for so long and finally decided to do it tonight since they love thai food. The price here is very cheap and worth the originality of the food.  Tomyam Set (RM 18.90)

As usual the set comes with 2 pieces of fried fish cakes, 1 lemongrass drink, 2 santan corn pudding desserts, 1 white rice. The tomyam seemed to be cooked for 4 pax instead of only 1 pax.

 Lime Steamed Fish (RM 35.90)

The lime is just nice and not too sour and the fish is superb with very tender flesh. Dad even drank every sip of the sauce!

Set Dinner (RM 18.90)

This time round, I opted for Chilli Seafood gravy set, that almost looks like thick red curry to us. This is well worth the price paid as there are many prawns, octopus, onions and parsley inside. Also included are the basic 2 pieces of deep fried fishcake, 1 glass of cold lemongrass drink and 2 pieces of santan corn dessert wrapped in leaves.

 Stir Fried Asparagus (RM 9.90)

When my friend sent this photo to his mother to guess the price, she could not guess correctly. No one would have thought it would cost merely RM 9.90 for asparagus which is usually an expensive food. The asparagus is not oily and crispy, cooked with onions and carrot till fragrant.

We were looking for the Korean restaurant in Taman Desa and could not find it despite making a few rounds; then voila, I laid my eyes on Rayong Thai cafe which has alfresco dining and also air-conditioned part.The place is quite airy despite having the kitchen right in front. Inside, one can see Thai god altars. Since we ordered the 1 pax set dinner of Tomyam and rice, it came together with a Tako Thai Pudding with coconut topping which was amazing. It even has corn inside the pudding.

 The tomyam was spicy and sour enough with a lot of vegetables and big prawns and octopus.

It also comes with Lemongrass drink which was ok but not too fragrant.

 Pad Thai (RM 9.90)

The Pad Thai is simply spectacular! It was spicy enough, moist enough but not too moist to the extent of being balled up, with a lot of nuts, bean sprouts, a few big prawns and octopus.

 Surprisingly, my entire meal only came up to RM 30.53, not bad for an a/c place.
