I chose to have the chicken rice because it's famous for it's lightning speed in serving the order. I was in a hurry so I manage to spend little time to eat. The chicken rice came with a big portion of rice and a separate plate of chicken. I suppose it's because the sauce for the chicken is easily absorbed into the rice if put together. The steamed chicken was soft and smooth. The skin was very smooth and slippery. The sauce was the highlight of it because it binds the chicken and the rice well

来到这里都会不知不觉点上这里的早餐来吃。配上咖啡好像特别有亲切感。其实早餐也没有什么特别。里面有的是面包，薯条，煎鸡蛋，很少的黄豆，火腿片还有香肠。虽然好像很多，但是喂不饱我。

It took them less than a minute to serve 2 plates of rice! Talking about efficiency! I was very hungry that day and was glad thay my order came so fast. The rice was oily rice was fragrant but a bit dry. Nothing the chili sauce can't fix though. I got the chicken breast part and it wasn't bad. The sauce was slightly salty but mix well with the rice. The roast pork is alright as the skin was slightly hard already.

Black pepper lamb chop. This dish came with lamb chop simmered in black pepper sauce, alongside with two sausages, fries, coleslaw and beans. The black pepper sauce was not too strong. I am a person who prefer heavy peppery taste, as such, this was not up to my expectation. The lamb was not too hard, it was ok. The sausages were the normal ones. It was just a so-so lamb chop.

This stall is one of my few coffeeshop styled western food haunts. After a few months of not visiting this place, to my horror the cook (and probably the owner) of this stall has changed. I gave it a try, hoping that there won't be any drop in quality.When it arrived, it looked almost the same. However, upon closer inspection, only then I noticed that the chicken chop is quite little, and thin as well.The chicken chop was cooked quite well, although I find that its black pepper gravy was not as

Apart from pork noodles, this stall sells Hakka mee too. As I had some cravings for Hakka noodles, I've decided to give it a try.When it arrived, I was very surprised. The noodles they used were the normal yellow noodles, instead of the flat hakka noodles which I have expected. The yellow noodles has a strong taste of 'Kan sui' which borders to unbearable. Furthermore, the noodles were overcooked, which makes it a little too soft and bloated as well. They do have a decent amount of minced pork o

Kangkung with fermented beancurd ("fu yu"). Since the last time over-salty fu yu yao mak, we gave it a chance again by ordering the fu yu kangkung. It came with some ginger strips and some chili too. The chili was not too spicy as it just gave the dish a tint of spiciness. The dish was not too salty, which was good. The kangkung was crunchy and the leafy part was soft.

Salted Fish Pork Belly Claypot ("ham yue fa lam bou"). That day, I was feeling some urge to eat heavy flavoured food, so I ordered this salted fish pork belly claypot. The ingredients were onions, dried chili, pork belly slices and some spring onions. I know I ordered salted fish, but the taste was extremely salty, same as other dishes. It would be good if they tone down the saltiness.

Yam Basket. It is our norm to order yam basket whenever my brother is around. The yam basket consisted of Chinese black mushrooms, cashew nut, chicken slices and onions. I like the deep fried beehoon surrounding it as it was crispy. The deep fried yam was a bit hard though, I mean the coating, but the yam was soft. The ingredients were quite flavourful, and it was good.

Fermented bean sauce "Yau Mak". Fu yu style vegetables has been our favourite order apart from belacan. We tried the "yau mak" that day. So, we ordered the fu yu style. It came with a few strips of ginger as well. The yau mak was big and crunchy that day. The leaf part was soft. However, the fu yu was extremely salty again. I think they used too much fu yu. Definitely has to eat with rice.

Teow Chew steamed fish. My mother was craving for teow chew steamed fish, so we ordered it. The ingredients were beancurd, salted vegetables, tomato, ginger slices and asam. Once I took a sip of the soup, it was extremely salty, not the normal saltiness of teow chew steamed fish. The fish was fresh and the ingredients were good, but the teow chew broth was out of standard.

Dry pork noodles. In this case, I ordered the dry loh shu fun. It came with a bowl of fish paste in soup as well as Chinese stuffed sausage. I mixed the sauce thoroughly. The Chinese stuffed sausage was thin and too little, slightly salty. There were four pieces of fish paste and it was springy and not fishy. Overall, the noodle was not bad but it was not great either.

Chicken Maryland with mushroom sauce. Ever since the change of owner of this stall, the western food does not taste great anymore. Same goes to this chicken maryland with mushroom sauce. The chicken maryland was coated and being deep fried and the mushroom sauce was being poured on top of it. This sauce made the chicken very soggy. The mushroom sauce was thick but no taste.

Fish and chips. This western food stall used to serve very good western steak and chops at a cheap price. However, since the owner has changed, the taste quality dropped tremendously. The western meal came with bread, french fries, egg, fish fillet, sausages, coleslaw and tartar sauce. Although it has many things but the taste was bland. The fish and cheap was tasteless.

Roast Chicken Rice. Before I went out for shopping, I went and took away this chicken rice for my father for lunch. The chicken rice was topped with chilli as they did not pack it separately. The rice was aromatic of chicken oil. The roast chicken did not fare better, it was a normal one and not much taste although the chicken meat was tender. The chili has some garlic taste.
