Nama Choco Sand @ RM4.00This is a Japanese bakery shop, their bakery and cakes are much more unique and special. I like this name choco sand cake very much. This is the chocolate flavour and their have another one is greet tea. It is like 2 chocolate cake hamburg with a layer of chocolate ice cream. Need to keep it in the fridge and defrost for a few minutes before consume. The chocolate so called ice cream will just liquidy in the mouth. It is quite sweet but very delicious.

And I gave in to the Pan O Chocolate bun!

After lunch, I was curious of the commotion at a neighboring shop. Upon further inspection, I found out that Komugi has yet open a new outlet, this time at Sunway Giza. With the strong buttery smell, I was lured into the shop.

As I entered the bread shop, it was as if I entered candyland. Rows and racks of ALL TYPES of pastries surrounded me. I must blame the lighting to make each and every one of them look so irresistible! The display racks were full of pastries, to the brim! So you can imagine my excitement when I saw such a variety of pastries at one place. I must say this is the first time I've seen it and all of them looked so unique.

I settled with the Pan O Chocolate because the name sounded cute! And I was actually very full for a fact. The bun was more of a tea time snack for me. It still tasted amazing even after keeping it for a few hours. I didn't even need to reheat it. The bun texture was soft and buttery and centered with moderate amount of chocolate. It was a great tea time snack! And it left me craving for more!

Located in Sunway Giza shopping mall, the cozy Komugi store had left me awed with its warm atmosphere, with the back facing the entrance of Giza as the area of dining. this was one of the best among countless tries from various bakeries, and it has lived up to my expectations of the perfect macaron. The crust is soft but harder than most, giving it a firmer texture that I often find for in macarons. The coconut cream sandwiched in between was just heavenly, and I was able to taste the coconut shred in the cream, which gave the impression of eating an actual coconut. The macaron was also topped with grated coconut, making it presentable and easily distinguished among the various flavors sold at Komugi. Personally, I think it's best consumed after being chilled for a few hours to enhance the flavor and texture of the macaron.

2) coffee and nut bread

a nice dense bread packed with flavor. It's suitable for non-coffee lovers as it isn't to bitter, being balanced with the caramelized nuts topped on the bread; but it still maintained the natural flavor of coffee as there was a bittersweet coffee flavor that develops after a few bites. Something different from the usually fake flavored coffee bread in some stores.

this could be counted as a classic combination, and it couldn't get any better. Shaped like an oblong donut, the chocolate wasn't too sweet, and as expected, pairs well with the orange peel. Surprisingly, the orange peel seemed sweeter than the chocolate chips, which took me by surprise. I guess it has originality and isn't pricey, making it a sweet treat for anyone.

4)onion and pepper bread

this bread is on the savory side, being filled with soft onions that melt in your mouth. The pepper adds a kick to the bread, without empowering the flavor of the onion. It was also very aromatic, being infused with herbs that complemented the onion and pepper.

5)mini croissant

I guess croissants are just plain mouthwatering, mini or non-mini. The crust was nice and brown, and the inside was buttery and soft, but not too greasy. When bitten into, you could see clearly the layers of the croissant that sparks one interest. croissants just add a different dimension to your usual bread experience, perfect as a small bite when on the go.

this was a good combination of ingredients, and though it's on the sweet side, it definitely incorporates well with the hazelnut chunks that add a tad of bitterness. In terms of texture, it was crunchy and nutty, and the hazelnuts were very fresh. The cookie had a tantalizing sweet milky flavor.

this has to be one of my favorites from this store. it had a very light and crumbly texture, yet it was highly satisfying in flavor. This scrumptious cookie was a melt-in-your-mouth, leaving a green tea aftertaste with a nutty texture. The green tea wasn't too sweet, which I found favorable as it allowed the eater to taste and appreciate the slightly bitter taste of the green tea and its aroma. It really leaves you wanting more!

So that's my review of Komugi, I hope you all would try their pastries and cookies too, as it was definitely worthwhile for me. Thanks for reading
