One of the Kim Gary Restaurant branch is located at First Floor of The Curve Shopping Centre. It combines the essence of Chinese and Western food culture. Beside Hong Kong style food, they also offer Korean and Japanese dishes. The menu are crazy, from ala carte, to set lunch, even the beverages also have plenty of choices. Normally it is crowded with people during weekday lunch hour as they offer plenty of affordable set lunch. I have ordered Yorshin Noodle Set Meal B, which come with Ying Yong. I chose duck flavour as the soup base and the ingredient include fried egg and pork chop. The soup is a bit spicy, but I like it very much. Overall, the food here are simply delicious and the set lunch is really worth the money.

The Honey Lemon drink not bad, very refreshing.

One of the Kim Gary Restaurant branch is located at First Floor of The Curve Shopping Centre. The first restaurant was opened at Sham Shui Po Tong Mei Road, Hong Kong in 1992. I super loved this.. although I must say, though it's a vege dish, it tends to get slightly fattening thanks to the presence of generous amounts of creamy, delicious baked cheese ..haa haa The brocollis are super fresh and definitely chewy and tastes refreshing alright, which I appreciate. It tastes perfect with the cheese.. just do go lightly on the cheese, do not scoop up too much if you are worried about unwanted calories !

Kim Gary is most well-known for it's Cheese Baked Rice variations actually, and I can clearly see why. They definitely do not skipped on using generous amounts of good quality cheese Which is good if you're a cheese person. I do love cheese, but too much of it tends to be overbearing. My verdict of this rice? It's really good actually, just that I couldn't have too much of it. The chicken chop's well marinated and fried to perfection, and compliments the baked rice perfectly

I decided to try this as I was intrigue by it's name. "Hokkaido Rice" ? How does it tastes like and what kind of ingredients would be in it ? Would it be done Japanese-style ? They have a variety of options but I choose Fish Fillet. When it arrives on my table.. I was like "Oh.. I see" haa, haa.. It's actually steamed white rice topped with fried Fish Fillet, egg omelette and veges drenched in Japanese curry, hence the Hokkaido reference. It's pretty tasty actually, and I loved it!

When it comes to sandwiches, I love the simple versions.. as I consider sandwiches to be more like simple, comfort light snacks. I had tried their egg sandwich before and super loved it. And so I decided to try their Tomato & Egg version. It's actually basically the same thing, with the addition of a few slices of fresh tomatoes. The verdict ? I loved it too. The white toasted bread came out warm, and the egg's definitely well-seasoned with soy sauce, salt and pepper. Loved it !

You know, I tried before Kim Gary's supposedly "Fresh" Bittergourd juice and had a horrific experience. It was not "fresh" at all; being pre-prepared much earlier with a mixture of sugar syrup to it and then (I suspect) placed in the fridge and only taken out upon customer's order. I had high hopes that this "Fresh" Carrot Juice would be different.. *sigh*.. I should have known better. It's exactly the same.. no wonder when I asked for "no sugar" the drink came out sweet.. because it's also a pr

Peak hour, Friday night a little difficult to call up staff to take order of food! No bell to press to call for bill or order too!

Kim Gary Restaurant has many branches around Malaysia. Went to this branch in The Curve Shopping Mall, waited for 10 minutes queue (take note that you need to queue during peak hours). Ordered this pork chop rice with corns and one brocolli. Small bowl like this cost slightly more than ten ringgit? Ok the meat is really nice and chewy but probably too tasteless for my heavy taste buds. But if you are looking for a meat with rice set that is not spicy and rather healthy, you will not mind getting

Now it comes to some local drinks, milo is the most popular drink all malaysians know. The milo ice blended from Kim Gary was really nice. I love the rich chocolate taste of the milo. The ice blended was very smooth with milky taste, but the milk taste was not overpowering the chocolate taste. I also love the extra scoop of milo powder on top of the ice blended drink.

When i watched Hong Kong's movies, there are always scenes that mentioned about red bean iced. I think Hong Kong people really love this desser. In Malaysia, red bean iced is not something strange, but it is also not easy to find. There is a difference in taste when you compare the Hong Kong version and the Malaysian version. The red bean ice in Kim Gary tasted just fine for me. It was very milky. The red beans were sweet. I actually prefer local version with less milk.

Nissin noodle is actually the Hong Kong's version of instant noodle. This popular brand of instant noodles also make it to the restaurant menu. There is something strange about instant noodle, although it is cheap and unhealthy, people like me still like to order it. There is just this craving for instant noodle. The instant noodle was served with frozen mixed vegetables, luncheon meat, and an egg. I think everything was instant, except for the egg that they need to spend some time to pan fried

Some of the items in the menu are quite interesting, it will not be easy to get from local restaurants. I think these items are really the creation of Hong Kong people. For example. wrapped fish in egg served with chinese mushroom rice. The dish sounds interesting but taste wise, i think it was average only. The fish fillet is wrapped by the omelette. The aromatic omelette was slightly bland in taste and so does the fish. However, I love the chinese mushrooms.
