Used to have lunch at this kopitiam back in 2011 while I was working nearby. After changing jobs and moving around, I didn't pay this kopitiam a visit until today.

Pass by the curry noodle stall and I would say one just couldn't resist the aroma. Since I'm not quute fond of curry noodle, I decided to try out their hakka noodle despite wanted so much to get a taste of the curry noodle. That's a good reason to food hunt with your friend, where you can ordered the food you want yet get an extra chance to try out the food you wanted to for just one bite -- get your friend order for it.

They said, this kopitiam was famous for its kopi. As an Ipoh-comer I ordered for White Kopi and my friend ordered for Kopi Ais. Mine was a typical 3in1 Oldtown Hazelnut White Coffee while my friend's a classic Kopi. Tasted the roasted coffee and let it slide down your throat leaving the fragrant.

As for my hakka noodle, tasted not as good though. Too dry, and lack of the minced pork makes it even dull to swallow. Just fine to fill in my empty stomach.

For the sting ray curry noodle, it tasted so sweet, rich with coconut milk and I think because of the fish, they added in a few drops of lime juice to prevent the fishy smell but it matches wonderfully with the curry soup. It's curry noodle, so you can expect people leave nothing but fish bone. One thing, one of the fish meat was not fully cooked, it's still half uncooked so we leave it on the table too

chicken rice at hai keng coffee shop amazingly starts operating even for breakfastusually chicken rice stalls only open at lunch time because they take the whole morning to prep their chicken, roast it, cook the chicken rice and etcI would imagine this stall owner may have to wake up at 4 a.m. just to prepare to sell chicken ricemore surprisingly, people actually eat chicken rice for lunch!!I found the roast chicken normal but the roast pork was quite good
