Telawi's streets are teeming with watering holes, but there's only a smattering of outlets for satisfying food. Thankfully, we can now add G3 Kitchen & Bar to that short list. Duck confit, slow-cooked for six hours and served with beetroot relish. Flavorsome, but not quite the duck confit of our dreams. Frangipani's succulent version remains our favorite in the city, though some might consider it excessively sodium-laden.

Fig & walnut tart. Sweet, nutty and buttery. We absolutely loved this.

Roasted pumpkin salad with almond flakes & feta cheese. A whopping chunk of warm, velvety pumpkin, perhaps sufficient for a week's requirement of beta-carotene.

Braised grain-fed Angus beef ribs with onion mash & gremolata. Exceptional; the portion was supremely generous (for only about RM30), comprising fork-tender slabs of meat packed with a rich, beefy taste. A knockout in our book.

Rhubarb tart. Not bad, but tasted more like a raspberry jam tart. Nevertheless, G3's pastries boast a fabulous freshness, making it clear that desserts aren't a mere afterthought here.

Since we were on such a roll with food that night, we treated ourselves to dessert too! G3 has a vast array of desserts, but nothing looked better than this chocolate fondant (G3 has a fancier name for this, but unfortunately, our memory fails us ) - chocolate cake with a molten lava centre with a scoop of ice cream on top.I wouldn't call this our favourite molten lava cake, but it was nice enough, with a steaming hot liquid centre. Like I said, we were feeling greedy that night, so we went and ordered a Pesce Fumato (RM 28) to share! Broken down, it consists of smoked tuna, salmon & snow fish in honey mustard sauce, with a thin crust for base and some rocket on top. =)Being greedy doesn't always pay off, but this time it did! Maybe we were so impressed because we underestimated the pizza at G3; all I can say is when we sunk our teeth into that pizza we knew everything was just right! Maybe we were so impressed because we underestimated the pizza at G3; all I can say is when we sunk our teeth into that pizza we knew everything was just right! There was a generous portion of fish, with just the right amount of rocket to balance the richness of the tangy, sweet honey mustard sauce. Another great combination by G3.

I had trouble choosing the best dish to try, but the waiter recommended this Chicken Tikka Masala (RM 29) - a half chicken marinated with Indian spice, served on brown rice with tomato salsa, and mint-yoghurt sauce on the side. Before he recommended I had already included this in one of my choices narrowed down, so he just helped make up my mind. =PDiners are warned that this take 20 minutes to prepare. Diners are warned that this take 20 minutes to prepare. Since it was a quiet night, we got ours sooner than that. But then I wouldn't mind waiting 20 minutes for this! I got served one piece of juicy, tender chicken thigh and one chicken breast. I don't know how to describe the flavour except to say it was robust, and compounded with the brown rice filled with onion, tomato, and parsley. I didn't care much for the mint sauce because the chicken and the rice had lots of flavour going for it already with the various grain and herbs in it - anymore and it was overload! Still, I thoroughly enjoyed this down to the last mouthful. =D

So many yummy things to try, but only 2 stomachs to fill! Decisions decisions...but ultimately this Spiced Lamb Burger with Tazaki, Feta & Fries (RM 22) won out. This lamb patty turned out to be well minced, with lots of spices packed inside. The patty was too salty for us, but it was balanced out by the tangy, yogurt-y salad topping made up of cucumbers, onion, and tomato. Eaten all together, it made for a perfect combination! The bun was also of good quality and nicely buttered, a common place where burgers commonly fail, for Wendy. Definitely a better experience compared to Fat Boy's lamb burger, anyway.

Last visited Bangsar, i could never forget to go G3 Kitchen & Bar, my friends once told me about the cosy environment, good grieve, i found out the place is quite comfortable to dine in. Air dried, salted beef pieces in two handful of vegetables. I would say this is a good appetizer instead of Salad itself, good taste of dried salted beef, non mouth sticky, very delicious together with all the vegetables, Good for those who would like to eat less for the day and enjoy some cosy environment =)
