Chicken noodle soup. This chicken noodle soup was part of the set lunch and it came with a not-appetizing look. In fact, the soup combination of chicken and noodle was weird. The soup was clear with some noodles and chicken in it, slightly salty. The noodles were really soft. It also have some spring onions. I find this soup not appealing at all. I did not finish it.
Bubur Cha Cha. The bubur cha cha came with the lunch set and it was served in a small bowl. When it was served, it was luke warm, not hot at all. I prefer hot bubur cha cha anytime. The dessert soup was very diluted and very little santan flavour. It was not sweet and slightly bland. The yam and sweet potato was quite solid in texture, not soft enough for my liking. I do not enjoyed this.
Fish and chips. The fish and chips came with salad and a lime. I squeezed the lime to add some tanginess to the fish. The fish was fresh, no fishy taste at all. The coated batter was being deep fried till crispiness. It was not very oily, which I like, and it was not salty too. The chips however was a let down as it was not crispy, quite powdery inner texture. The salad was sweet.
Tomyam seafood noodle. I ordered the kuey teow tomyam seafood. It came with oyster mushrooms, prawns, squids, chicken pieces, tomato and topped with parsley. The tomyam broth was very flavourful, it was filled with sour, spicy and sweet at the same time. It was not too thick and not too diluted. The squid and prawns were not too fresh though. I love the oyster mushrooms.
Cosy Corner is a restaurant serving local and western food. I like to order their Thai Fried Rice with Egg because it tastes really nice. The rice is mildly hot from chili padi and there is a sourish sweet taste from the use of tamarind and lime. This really perks up my tastebud and never fails to impress me. My colleague who had the same dish commented that it was a bit too oily but I find it just nice giving the rice more definition and binds the ingredients together. The addition of a fried egg gave it the extra flavour and garnishing of sliced lettuce and red chili added to the presentation. Cost RM8.90 before tax which is quite reasonable.
