Bon Bon's Café (Changed Hand) New Restaurant

Bon Bon Cafe serves different kind of food in wide range of menu. Ordered tuna quiche pizza. The whole piece of pizza is thick and fully-filled with their ingredients. How generous of them! Tuna with onions pieces in a piece of this is satisfied. The top was baked cheese or melted cheese. The whole combination tastes cheesy and not too salty. I feel kind of full with just one piece of this. Nice.

Chocolate strawberry cake from Bon Bon Cafe is good enough. Presentation of the cake is rather normal and simple. Chocolate flakes on the side and sugar powder on the top with cherries arranged nicely on top of the cake. Ordinary looking, not tempting from this aspect. Taste wise this is sweet but acceptable. Cake is fluffy and soft. It has strawberries cream inside by layers. Overall ok.

虽然平时的我不什么爱吃carrot cake，但是今天因为跟爱吃carrot cake的朋友来，就只好点这个，那cake的质感还蛮不错的，而且蛋糕不会太干，干的蛋糕是最糟糕的，蛋糕的味道也不错，吃多几口也不会觉得腻。

Fish and chips. Bon Bon is famous for their cakes, pies and roast chicken. That day, I opted for the fish and chips to try. It came with fries and salad. The fish fillet was being deep fried till crispiness, the portion was small. The fish was fresh and springy though. It was not too salty and slightly oily. The fries were normal and the salad was fresh. I will stick to my usual order next time.

We ordered a black forest cake from Bon Bon for our New Year eve countdown celebration. When we cut it open, it was made up of several layers. In between there was some black forest fillings which has very strong alcohol taste. Some people might love it, and some might not. Due to its alcohol taste, it was slightly bitter. However, the cream and chocolate balanced up the sweetness. The cake was fluffy.

The omelette came with one piece of bread and some vegetables salad topped with thousand island. The omelette was pan-fried till golden brown. Its fillings was ham, tomatoes, onions with a little bit of black pepper. The omelette was so moist inside and it was so fragrant with the ingredients. The dish was not too salty, just nice for my liking. Bon Bon serves better omelette than the hotels.

The chicken pie was served with fresh vegetables such as lettuce and tomato topped with thousand island sauce. The pastry was very fluffy and crispy, it did not clogged up together, every layer of the pastry gave a loose crispiness to it. The fillings were excellent! It has chicken slices, mushroom and really mashed potato. It was slightly salty, but it was alright for me. The taste was really good that was so authentic. The best chicken pie in town!

Teow Chew Meehoon. This dish came with beancurd, fungus, chicken slices, tomato and some pickled mustard. The clear soup was loaded with flavour, not too salty, a bit sour as well. The beancurd was smooth and big pieces. The tomato added some sweetness to it. The pickled mustard gave some sourness to the dish. There were a lot of ingredients and a very good meehoon dish.

Banana Crumble. The banana crumble was served with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream. The pastry topped was full of different kind of crushed peanuts. These peanuts was stuck together with a mixture of sweetness and some saltiness to it. If I am not mistaken, they put some oats too. The banana fillings inside was marvelous! soft and fragrant with banana taste. One of the best banana crumble that I have tasted.

Oriental spaghetti. Bon Bon does not offer much choices of spaghetti and this Oriental version caught my eyes. The spaghetti was topped with white cream sauce with mixed beans as well as some chicken cubes. The sauce was quite thick and it was not too salty. The mixed beans gave a crispy texture to the whole dish as well as some sweetness. The spaghetti texture was fine too.

Hawaiian Toast. That day i felt like not having a heavy breakfast, therefore I ordered this hawaiian toast. The bread topped with ham, mushroom and cheese. I would love the toast to be a bit more burnt but too bad that their oven was not working well. The cheese was not fully melted on the ingredients, it gave a salty flavour, the ham and mushrooms were fresh and a bit salty. Not a bad dish.

Carrot Cake. Bon Bon has always been very generous in her ingredients, thus their top quality cakes. This was the first time I tried the carrot cake. As expected, the best carrot cake so far! The cake was soft and moist. It contained some nuts, raisins, of course carrot. The cake was not too sweet and it was topped with a layer of cream cheese that gave some saltiness to it.

The tuna quiche was freshly baked in the oven and came in quite a big slice. It has huge amount of tuna together with button mushrooms, tomato and capsicums. The saltiness level of this quiche was just nice, and it has a hint of sweetness too due to the tomato and capsicum. The texture was soft and very little cheese to it. The crust was crispy. Overall, it is quite a nice dish.

American breakfast is a standard order in Bon Bon. It has 2 pieces of toast bread with butter, sausage, baked beans and scrambled egg. The scrambled egg was nicely done with a little creamy in texture, and salty. The baked beans were sweet. The toast breads were nicely toast to crispiness. The sausage has some saltiness in it. A delightful breakfast indeed.

The loh shu fun soup came with a lot of ingredients such as mushrooms, chicken slices, chicken balls, tofu skin and vegetables. The soup was clear but it has strong essence of chicken, not too salty. The chicken balls were springy and slightly salty. The chicken slices were slightly tough. The loh shu fun was soft and smooth. Nonetheless, I kept on drinking the soup, it was very good.
