Our 'appetizer' came in the form of Ribs' signature dish, the Vintry Roast Pork. In fact I was told by my fellow friend that this dish was her favourite dish at Vintry. Roasted and crackled, using their traditional home made recipe, this was indeed a yummy dish. I like the fact the meat wasn't too fat, and had all the trademarks of a good roast pork, crispy on the outside, moist and soft on the inside. My first time having the Beef Carpaccio was a couple of months back, and it hit a note with me

My first time having the Beef Carpaccio was a couple of months back, and it hit a note with me. Here at Ribs by Vintry, the Beef Carpaccio tasted as good as it looks. Served with sliced Parmesan cheese, lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil, I found a taste for raw beef that I never thought I had. The Duck Rilettes was good as well, served with baguette slices, these were good cold starters to whet our appetite for more good things to come.

Up next was the soup of the day, something I'm told wasn't in the menu yet, the Spicy Chilli Mussel Soup. Now I'm not a very big fan of mussels, hence I just had a try at the soup itself. It was pretty okay, with lots of garlic taste. Spicy, yet not too overbearing, I would think this dish will sit well with mussel lovers

One of the most popular outlets on this street, with good reason. It's possible to have a fulfilling meal here even without ordering any of their famed ribs. Pumpkin soup with pork bacon. Warm, creamy comfort; as excellent as it sounds. Chef's Pasta, a tomato-based spaghetti pan-fried with Chinese sausage, pork bacon, sliced mushrooms & pork croutons. Absolutely addictive, thanks to its rich, flavorsome sauce. We also loved the large, crunchy croutons of pork lard. Pork ribs sauteed in butter

Pork ribs sauteed in butter cream & curry leaves-infused sauce. Could have used some bread to mop up the thick, robust gravy.

Vintry Sundae, with seven layers of ice cream, nuts, blueberry sauce, cornflakes, corn, mixed cereal & fresh grapes. Both fun and delicious to eat.

Tiramisu. No raves, but no complaints.

One of the most popular outlets on this street, with good reason. It's possible to have a fulfilling meal here even without ordering any of their famed ribs. Pork neck satay with peanut sauce. Not as meaty or smoky as the best satay, but still tasty enough to merit a recommendation. Cheese cubes battered & pan-fried, drizzled with honey. Lacked that melt-in-the-mouth quality to make it perfect, but the cheese's savoriness went well with the sweetness of the honey. BBQ pork ribs. Their signature

BBQ pork ribs. Their signature dish really satisfies, though I'm inclined to believe that Checkers nearby still serves chunkier, more succulent ribs.

Beef ribs braised with red wine herb sauce. Tender, but the sauce was too salty and overpowering. Would it be sacrilegious to say we prefer Tony Roma's?

We found this to be a bit too tough for our liking. Since it was a slice of pork belly, we really were expecting the meat to be more tender than how it came out. From the picture it's also clear that the meat was a bit dry. For a piece of pork belly, it certainly deviated quite a bit from our expectations. The apple puree gave a different twist to the overall flavour - it was sweet and creamy and Wendy felt it went well with the meat but I preferred the meat sans any accompaniment. Overall it wa

BBQ Pork Ribs (RM 52 for a large portion)! It was a simple-sounding item amongst the other more fancy choices in the menu, but sometimes simple can be best! I can't say whether other things in the menu are just as nice, but these ribs were just delightful. There were about 5 ribs in total, and each rib was quite meaty. It was also very tender, more so compared to the pork belly mentioned previously. But it was the barbecue sauce that really completed the whole package! If we found the pork belly

If we found the pork belly to be slightly on the dry side, the same could not be said about the ribs. The sauce blended in perfectly and made everything just nice. =)
