When people ask me, what are there so nice to eat in Puchong, the first came into my mind always will be this Fu Gua Thong. Fu Gua Thong restaurant are originated from Johor. This restaurant has two outlet in Klang Valley. One is located at Kuchai Maju in Dynasty Sentral and another is located at Bandar Puteri Puchong.Me myself is not a fans of bitter gourd, however, I do eat few pieces since it is health beneficial. 這一道苦瓜魚片米粉湯，非常棒。苦瓜可清热祛心火，解毒，明目，补气益精，止渴消暑。魚片很新鮮，是活捉的。：（ 我本身很喜歡喝湯了，苦瓜湯不會很苦。甘甘的感覺。這家店裡有空調，喝著熱湯，也不會感覺熱。他們非常熟悉苦瓜的部位吧，所以不管是苦瓜湯，苦瓜蛋還是苦瓜果汁都喝不到苦的感覺。

Another vegetable dish we ordered is the stir fried beansprouts. The stir fried beansprouts have some shredded carrots, red chilli and spring onions in it. I love the beansprouts, they were juicy and crunchy. The stir fried beansprouts was tasty and simple. The sauce was slightly saltish but fragrant. It is also priced at RM7.00 for a small portion. I do find that the food here are delicious but expensive.

Our vegetable dish here is the popular local dish, fried kangkung with sambal belacan. Again, the portion here is very small but priced at RM7.00 a plate. The kangkung was fresh and crunchy, not over fried till soggy. The sambal belacan was also very delicious. The sambal was spicy, fragrant, and many small shrimps in the belacan. Maybe they make their own belacan.

We also ordered the preserved radish omelette. The small one is priced at RM7.00. I quite like the raddish omelette. The preserved radish has always been my favorite. The omelette was not over fried. There were extra bits of oil in the omelette to keep the omelette moist. The preserved radish tasted slightly salty and crunchy. It is always nice to eat preserved radish with eggs.

Pork knuckle in vinegar is also one of my favorite dishes. The pork knuckle was also priced at RM12.00 for a small portion. Again, taste wise, it was delicious. The flavorful vinegar sauce was very appetizing. The dark vinegar sauce was sweet and sour and there was also ginger taste. The pork knuckles was soft, tender and absorbed all the flavors of the dark vinegar.

The spare ribs in curry was one of the best spare ribs i tasted. The spare ribs we ordered was a small portion, priced at RM 12.00. I do think that the small portion at this price is quite expensive. However, taste wise, it was delicious. The curry sauce was spicy and flavorful. Not really creamy, but lots of spices in it. I don't like the spare ribs being such big pieces, i would prefer the spare ribs to be smaller.

The restaurant is famous for bitter gourd dishes. We ordered the bitter gourd soup for sharing. You can order various portion size and the price will be from RM8, RM12, RM15 and RM18. The bitter gourd soup has pork slices, pork intestines, pig's liver, pig's heart and pig's kidney. The clear soup was very tasty and the bitter gourds were not bitter. I also like the crunchiness of the bitter gourd.

Another recommended drink from the waiter is the "Bak Chi Zhuo". It is a Chinese herbal drink. I think i prefer this herbal drink over the chrysanthemum tea, because this is less sweet. The black color drink is made from various chinese herbal leaves that have the cooling effect. The drink will also taste slightly bitter sweet due to the herbs. You can order this in hot or cold.

The waiter recommended the chrysanthemum tea and i try it. The chrysanthemum tea was quite nice but it was sweetened. I think the sweetness is too much for me, if it slightly lesser, it will be very good. The chrysanthemum tea is very flavorful, the chrysanthemum flowers tasted very strong. I like that the drink is very clear, no residue from the flowers. It is a cooling drink.

Signature fried porkFu Gua Thong Restaurant is famous of bitter gourd soup with many choice of side dishes. This is their signature side dish- Deep Fried pork slide. The pork fried till crispy and i like the burn taste because it made the pork slide more delicious and smell nicer. The pork is 5 marinated with their special sauce for hours, so that the meat is absorb the flavour in very balance. Overall, it is very delicious and nice combination with the bitter gourd soup.

Bitter gourd soupFu Gua Thong restaurant is famous with their bitter gourd soup. This soup served here is really nice because it is healthy. Even though it is lots of bitter gourd and other ingredients likes pork slides, but the soup is not bitter at all. The bitter gourd is very fresh and it cooked till just nice. Overall, the taste is delicious. The potion is quite big and the price is reasonable for a healthy meal.

Their "fu guang tong" or bitter gourd soup is very famous and nice. They put in a lot of bitter gourd and pork meat to cook the soup, therefore the soup is very tasty, yet not too bitter.I am afraid to eat bitter gourd, but I still find this soup very nice and tasty. Moreover, you can always request to refill the soup for FOC.Another famous dish from this restaurant is the fried pork. The fried pork taste quite yummy especially eat together with the chili sauce.
