This was the best pork rib rice I have ever had. It was also the most sinful one. The butter sauce coating the pork rib was super oily but creamy. Look at the gorgeous yellow, sinful to the max! It had the spicy smell from the chili leaves but did not contribute much to the flavor. Best of all, it came with an egg, and steamed corn.

Sometimes, I find myself in the mood for something trashy, greasy, cheap, and gratifying. I would look for something that's nice but done with much sloppiness and without any love or interest. Spicy buttermilk pork ribs rice at Rib King (Asia Cafe) is one of my favourite when this mood strikes. The pork is tenderized by physical means (I saw the kitchen helper pounding pork hours before the stall was open for business). The result is super tender meat. The sauce is creamy and tastes pretty much like it's made of nothing but fat, spices, and articificial flavourings (which I somehow find very appealing).

Served with egg (freshly cooked and soft), and vegetables (blanced, without gravy or sauce), and borscht soup (the Hong Kong representation of it). The soup is a hearty broth that has broken chunks of carrot and potatoes.

This meal is far from gourmet but try the pork and you will forget how trashy and calorie-filled this meal is. Super cheap, too!
