I'm from Penang and I am a laksa lover. I've been in Kl for 3 years and so sad to say I've never had a descend laksa in KL. But few months ago in Asia Cafe in SS15, there is a newly open Laksa stall originally from Penang Ayer Itam Pasar! I've tried it a few times but did not manage to take pictures and post it, as i always am to hungry and faters goggle everything up. Char Kuey Teow - RM5Char Kuey Teow literally "stir-fried rice cake strips". This dish however at Asia Cafe tasted normal to me. Even with some 'Wok Hei' taste, it was rather too oily and plain for me. The portion was big enough with four huge prawns and abundant of bean sprouts and some scallion slices. Sweet and sour pork rice with egg - RM7.50The pork was being deep fried before being doused in sweet and sour sauce. It came with steam corns and some raw vegetables such as tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuces. The sunny egg was perfectly made with the sweet and sour pork dish. Assorted "loh bak" - RM9This assorted loh bak were pretty pricy for me as I only took two type of choices and it cost me of RM9. I took one piece of Taiwan sausage and one piece of prawn fritter. Anyway I bet you will sure loved the Taiwan sausage as this piece of pork delight tasted really good. The prawn fitters were rather tasteless and plain with only small piece of prawn, it would have been better if they had included more prawns inside.

BBQ Chicken Wings - RM4The BBQ Chicken Wings were cooked on charcoal grill for all that extra smoky flavor. Besides our main order, getting a serving of grilled fish is what we always do when in Asia Cafe. Grilled fish & crab stall in Asia Cafe does quite well in their grilled fish, and their seafood is very fresh with reasonable price.We have the Portugese grilled fish. It is spicy and mouth watering. The fish is fresh, while the gravy is so appetizing that I have two bowls of rice with it.

Asia cafe is a food heaven where you can choose from a wide variety of food there. And this time, i would recommend you all the fried kuey teow stall there.This char kuey teow stall is located near to the stall selling pirated CD.Char kuey Teow ( RM4.00) When I ordered it first time, it was prepared by foreign worker, the kuey teow tasted awful. Getting a good pizza in food court? You might doubt and think twice before ordering. But trust me, Pizza Brava in Asia Cafe makes very nice pizza, and the price is quite cheap too.The thin pizza crust is spread with tomato sauce and then generously loaded with mushroom, ham, pineapple and cheese. The crust is crispy, chewy and the ingredients fully covering the thin crust brought a full satisfaction to my pizza meal.
