Sometimes I slacking around Asia Cafe in Subang Jaya, I got no idea what I should eat (other than Millenium Crispy Chicken Rice). One day, I and my friend went for high-tea session, I remembered we keep on asking each other what we should eat and that. Then I decide to go find some food that could feed me, so I decide to order Bibimbap (their stall is at the corner, same row as Millenium Crispy Chicken Rice). It is RM 10 Bibimbap! With RM 10 you will get bowl of mixed rice, hot soup and mild spicy sauce. Although the egg suppose to be slightly raw, when you mix everything, remember to put the sauce, because the sauce taste is very unique. If you happen to be Asia Cafe Subang Jaya, this is one of the recommended food by me.

The actual Bibimbap looks alot more better than the Bibimbap I recommended above, especially the egg, it can be raw or it can be semi cooked. I hope this review find you useful!

Thanks! By Kian Fai.

I've ordered from here on multiple occasions, the service is quite fast and a lot of people order from them. But I only enjoyed one meal, which was Beef Lasagne. The rest were really below average (excluding Pizza). One time, I ordered the seafood dish that had mussels and squid in the spaghetti. I used to like that dish, but recently I ordered it and was absolutely outraged by what I was served. The squid was SO CHEWY. It was tasteless and felt like rubber. The mussels were not fresh, and I almost threw up in my mouth a bit. The spaghetti itself was average, and the sauce was decent. But the mussels and squid destroyed the entire dish for me on that occasion. I went home with diarrhea. Wasn't worth RM15. Overall, the pizza i hear is good. But I just have a problem with some of their dishes. Expensive too.

After finding out that there is a Korean food stall at Asia Cafe, I was not hesitated to give it a try.It is up to you to choose whether you want seafood or meat in your stew. I chose pork and the stew came also with kimchi slices as well as tofu. The soup is rather less flavourful, less pungent and minimally spicy as I liked it to be. However the ingredients used were quite fresh. You will have to order rice seperately and being charged seperately as well.

Takoyaki means octopus cubes coated with flour balls, served with takoyaki sauce and topped with bonito flakes, mayonnaise and seaweed powder. The version here at Asia Cafe taste rather normal to me, it is more like having kaya-ball like texture. I expected the flour ball to be softer or crispier, but it is little more chewy instead. It lacked cabbage fillings inside, while octopus cube was small. The bonito flakes saved the whole dish, with the addition of creamy mayonnaise accentuates the dish

The pork ribs here is really succulent and flavourful from the marinade. They are fried beforehand to lock the moisture of the meat. The butter sauce is even amazing- creamy, has a nice aroma from curry leaves, rich butter fragrance. It is served with a sunny side up, blanched carrots, corn and brocolli. Overall it was a very satisfying dish with balanced nutrients.

Millenium chicken rice has been around for sometime and at various places. I haven't had one for some time so I decided to have one for dinner. It was quite a disappointment because once upon a time, the chicken used to be more delicious. The one I just had was bland. Other than being crunchy, it's rather tasteless. The only saving grace came from the sambal and sweet sauce. Mix them together and I get a special, sweet and spicy gravy to go with the chicken and rice. The chicken alone is just a

There's always a guilty pleasure feeling every time I have the fried mushroom. It's those dishes that you can't stop eating but after you finish everything, you start to feel guilty. As I was siting waiting for my food to be served, I did not think of getting any fruits until a pushcart came along. It came with all sort of fruits, from watermelon to mangoes. I couldn't resist the sweet looking mangoes and took a packet. It was RM2. And I was right, the packet of chopped mangoes was sweet even on its own. I added some assam just to add and extra sourness to it.

Only a handful of stalls were opened in Asia Cafe during the day and one of them is Saud. Trying to get my lunch fix, I tried the dory fish(RM8.90) from Saud as their mongolian lamb is no longer in the menu. After a while, the dory fish was served. Although quite juicy, it was a bit too salty. The juiciness is from the fish and not its gravy. The fries served as a good supplement to the dory as I find it wasn't so filling. With the fries, it was satisfying. I find the bread a funny combination

Overall not a bad lunch but I'd prolly try something else the next time I visit Saud.

The plate was filled to the brim with sweet and sour pork, a bowl of rice topped with an egg, corn, cucumber and tomato slices. The sunny side up egg was a good mix with the plain white rice, the juicy yolk added some saltiness to the rice. The sweet and sour pork was nicely done, quite crispy and fully coated with the gravy. All was sweet. The pork was soft too. The amount of vegetables were a lot and fresh.

Asia Cafe is house of many stalls of variety. One of them is the mamak stall. We were there for supper and what's good to order if not a plate of good ol' indomee single. Throw in a piece of tandoori chicken and I was a happy man. The taste of this indomee here is pretty decent. It's not overcooked and is nicely seasoned. This is one time that I don't mind MSG
The chicken was however, is cold but still edible and quite tasty, charred at the right areas. I believe if it's warm/hot, it'll taste awesome. The egg is how I love it, cooked on the white but with watery yolk, just the right texture to go with my indomee.

The Vietnam lemongrass chicken came with a bowl of rice, chilli sauce, shredded cabbage and cucumber slices. The rice was simmered with a type of sauce that added some sweet flavour to the rice, whick made it not so plain by itself. The chicken drumbstick came in a big piece, fried with lemongrass coating, very fragrant. The saltiness was just nice, and the coating was crispy. Eaten together with sweet and spicy chilli sauce, it was perfect.

Even though we were full, we just need to order takoyaki as snacks. Six pieces of takoyaki (octopus ball) was topped with bonito flakes, takoyaki sauce and mayonaise sauce. The small pieces of octopus embedded in the batter was fresh and springy. The batter was soft. The takoyaki sauce was sweet but it was not as strong as other takoyaki stall that I had tried before. The mayonaise sauce gave slight saltiness to it.

I kid you not when I tell you that one of the gems in Asia Cafe (Subang Jaya) is the spaghetti carbonara at Pasta Azzuri. I was lured to order the dish when I saw it at a nearby table. Although, this might not be a good place to bring a chick out for a date, you can always come to savour a decent plate of carbonara with your mates for a game of football in the weekends

One of my favourite stalls in Asia Cafe is the Korean one. Most of the time when I eat here, I will order their Kimchijigae which is soup with rice. At RM 10, I find it affordable for the portion. The kimchi soup is a blast of flavour and can be quite spicy. Inside you will find lots of meat, tofu and kimchi. Sometimes I find mushroom inside but I think the content varies. They've also upgraded to a much bigger bowl which I couldn't finish. The hot, spicy and sour soup is a real appetite opener.
