Lots of noodles to choose and mainly is made from fish.. The noodle is good and nice. Other than noodle, their side dish is not bad either (fish cake, etc). Staff are friendly.

I would say, nothing surprise. We ordered 老鼠粉汤 & 菠菜面汤。We did enjoy our brunch, all the clear soup, without even adding a single drop of sauce. It's soup base, but it tasted good too! Nothing much of fancy, but pure taste of fishball and noodles.

The home made longan drink in AK Noodles House is quite nice. The longan is boiled with some rock sugar, and the result is a cooling, thirst-quenching cup of drink that goes very well with our noodles. There were bits of longan meat at the bottom of the cup, which made a good chewing companion at the end of the meal. Not very diluted even though there were quite a fair bit ice given. Priced at RM2.80 per cup, it is definitely well worth the amount paid.

The mixed soup in AK Noodles House is quite nice, and very appetising. The bowl of mixed soup consisted of bouncy fish balls, some slices of fish cakes, a piece of fried tau foo, a fried fish ball, a piece of bean curd sheet and some green yau mak. All the items were very fresh, and was immensely enjoyable. The soup is flavourful, and I didn't detect much MSG in it. Definitely recommended.

Wifey wasn't feeling very hungry, so she decided to order a dry wan tan noodle. It's a good thing that the portion wasn't very big, else I would be forced to eat her unfinished noodle as well. The noodles were cooked well, chewy and crunchy to the bite, as it should be. Tossed in some soya sauce, dark sauce and sesame oil, it was slightly salty, but still acceptable. Garnished with some chopped spring onions, it was quite nice.

AK Noodles House, started by Mr. Tan Ooi Koong has served very nice ikan parang fishballs for many years. They pride their fish items purely made using fresh ikan parang, with no preservatives and boric acid added. It was also a place to have a speedy lunch if you are in a rush, as the service here is pretty quick. Not even five minutes into ordering, the food is already placed on your table. I ordered the spotted mackerel with mee hoon. The bowl of mee hoon came piping hot, with lots of ingredients. There were lots of slices of fresh fish pieces, wedges of sourish tomatoes, some greens as well as pickled vegetables. The soup was tasty and very delicious, full of fishy sweetness. The fish pieces were tender and yummy, definitely the highlight of the meal. Priced at RM13.90 a bowl, it was definitely well worth the price paid.

This shop originate from Johor. It was quite famous there. Then when I saw it here, without second thought, I just go and order food to eat. I like their Koay Teow dry here. Then you can add in some different side dishes like yong tou foo into your soup. The meat here is very nice to eat. Their koay teow is very smooth. The soup is very clear to drink too. There aren't much MSG in the soup. After I drank it, I won't feel thirsty at all. So basically I can finish the whole bowl of soup.

Good thing about having yong tau fu is I can be assured that I get some fish meat for my daily protein requirements. Instead of just noodles with minimal meat, I get equal dosage of carbs, vegetables and protein. I realised the fish meat was of different qualities. For the chili and lady's fingers, the fish meat was very smooth and flavorful. For the bittergourd, fried eggplant and tofu, the fish meat was coarse and more chunky. The flavor of the coarser fish meat was rather bland. It could be a

Instead of rice I asked for spinach noodles to justify my carb load for lunch. However the smell of spinach was so strong that I found it hard to go with my yong tau fu. My advice, if you want to change your rice to some other noodles, stay away from spinach noodles unless you are a big time lover.

AK Noodles is one my visit when I am in 1 Utama. This shopping complex is one of my favorite place of visit where they have what I want. The fish paste of the yong tau fu was very smooth and flavourful. I liked it very much. I am not sure if you could ask for which yong tau fu but I did not ask to change. It was my first time having a chili yong tau fu and liking it. The chili, tofu, eggplant were good. Only the bitter gourd was too tough and bitter. The curry was watery and mild. I would prefer it to be thicker though.

Satisfaction was there as I was bloated with nice food instead of crappy yong tau fu. For KPMGians, we are entitled to 10% discount whenever we dine in. All of us were wearing our company tags but they "chose" not to inform us about the discounts until I asked for it. Again, they told me that we did not inform them when we order. So because of this, I would deduct some points for their lack of alertness and plenty of ignorance.

First look through the menu, I thought they didn’t have much choice on the list. And there were few items on the menu with ‘instant noodles’ for the same price as any other noodles. For some reason, the word ‘instant noodles’ wasn’t attractive because it gives you the perception of a 2 minutes cook noodles with not much ingredients and artificial flavouring. I thought they should change the name to make it more appealing.
I avoided the instant noodles and ordered bihun stirred with black sauce and the soup is served separately, with fishballs, seaweeds, ‘fu chuk’ and vegetables in a clear soup. The bihun noodles was average, while the soup taste is good. This place is apparently famous for the Herring fishballs with no preservatives. The soup has a natural sweetness to it. The price is around RM7 – RM8 per bowl. It is good for those who are health conscious because it’s less oily and has a natural taste to it. Not a bad place to have lunch.
