皮蛋芫菜- 这道清甜而又不腻的芫菜,也是蛮不错,再加上蛋清做为芫菜的汤汁,可说是有种很滑的口感,皮蛋只是配角,其实有没放也不会影响芫菜本来的清甜,而且也是淹制过的蛋对身体也不是那么的健康,也可以考虑放些银鱼仔效果也是不错的。

美味咸蛋炸鸡, 鸡肉内滑皮脆,用咸蛋和调味料淹制过,炸出来是有一定的香气,这是一片片带有骨头的鸡肉,晚上来这里和朋友喝上两杯美酒,也是很享受,在这里除了可以享用晚餐,楼上也设有喝酒的小酒吧,和朋友相约在这儿也是一个蛮有情调的夜晚

我想也是鸭鸭的最爱~可惜鸭鸭没有来参加,不然我想他应该会很喜欢呢!
中间像可以开盖的感觉,对了!

As usual, Makan Venture start with introduction and ice breaking session. After funny ice breaking session had finished, food is served by our friendly "ah Long" waiter even though his name is garang. Today's appetizer is 1919 style Kerabu, pile of eggplant strips around the yam "container" which have very nice kerabu on top of it. The eggplant is not greasy as french fries and crispy that make herbivore inside of me awaken and feel like eat those fried leave but luckily i hold it. The combination of kerabu and fried eggplant strip is tasty and had me go for second round. Peanut pieces mix with mango, their sauce and their way is really their style that i cant find any kerabu like that. Rice is served during feast time for rice bucket(yes, pancake that u)~~~ charge!!

The first dishes is 1919's signature, a unique curry that fit Ipoh people and some appetite. The curry is milky and not spicy but you can always add on cili padi as they provide upon your request. They stuff in all the perfect match item for curry like lady finger, beancurd, long bean and so on. There are few cockles in this curry being finish by others. Some had complained about the satan and milk but I prefer it keep it this way. The kind owner have accepted complain and explained he wish to keep this original taste as ipoh style and some big title like Tan Sri, CEO are just come for this curry. Every man have their own taste I guess so.

While we having this dish, our hardworking "ah Long" had served all the remaining dishes. Next dish is 1919 special tofu. Sigh, I just have small portion of it as it look too nice other to resist. It is special in design as there is a space inside of it where it contain prawn. You have to lift top of the tofu to dig out the hidden prawn. The skin are brown and soft but I can't tell what the skin are but it fit seamless with the tofu.

This char kuey tiao is treat from boss. It is different from normal char kuey tiao. It is greasy and the taste is quite mild, probably due to I always have rich flavor food. Some say it is cantonesse style but I not sure.

A sweet treat. This will totally make you indulge in the sweetness. Here, they served ice cream with chinese pancake which taste a bit sweet and warm. This totally beat those ice cream pancake or ice cream biscuit or whatsoever.

讲到吃虾,到处都有各自不同的煮法,这里的虾是先用油炸过后,虾肉有点咖哩粉的味道,再加上黑酱油和鼓汁,煮出的味道会比较有口感,就好像我们所吃过的鼓汁明虾,这里有所不同的就是浓浓的鼓汁再配加羊角豆一起煮,看起来没那么的单调,而且也很清甜,配上碗白饭,包你吃了有满足感。

Next on is the spinach with century egg dish. This dish is recommended for diners that prefer a slight natural clear broth. The broth is made of egg which gives the spinach a smoother and eggy taste, perfect for diners like my parents who opt for a more clear taste lol. This dish is probably the most favorite dish of mine because I always go for food with more taste. The chicken was fried with salted egg and this makes the chicken skin salty-perfect with juicy tender meat! too bad for those who doesn't take chicken skin for health reasons but I hope you give them a chance. the fried bihun that comes with the chicken was tasteless though so the focus is on the chicken!

This appetizer was really special and seeing the owner of the restaurant stressed that their dishes are mostly unique and one-of-the-kind, I guess I have to come to this restaurant again and again just to have this dish haha. I don't normally take eggplants but I kind of liked this eggplant since it is thinly sliced and fried, I wouldn't even know that they were eggplants! They were added with their sweet and slightly spicy sauce,giving some oomph and boost to it. There was also a crispy yam in the middle with thin mango slices and vege filled inside which was sprinkled with I think lemon juice? it was the perfect appetizer to prepare me for the main dishes.

yum! dessert. I always liked my desserts to be ice cream so this was the perfect ending to my dining at 1919. Their chocolate and mint ice cream was served with crispy kaya pancake which is normally served at chinese weddings which I loved. Who would have thought to mix ice cream and crispy kaya pancake together? bravo, 1919! Definitely a must try!

The toufu was a slight disappointment to me and my sister who was with me. A roundly-shaped toufu, fired on the outside with vegetables filled inside, somehow didn't work for them. Maybe it was because the toufu skin wasn't crispy anymore when they served it? I have tried better crispy toufu at other restaurants in the Klang valley. Though I liked their soft toufu inside which was smooth and matched their soy sauce pretty well.

Another must try in this restaurant! The Indonesia prawn was larger than Malaysia's ones and tasted chewy, which means they are fresh? Am totally hopeless with seafood. They even took out the shell for us and this makes the dining more comfortable. The prawns were mixed with brown slightly-salty sauce which adds taste to it and works for me!

The presentation of the keow teow makes it more appetizing, topped with red and green capsicum.Though the noodles were slightly oily, the char keow toew tastes good! The keow teow were slightly thinner than the normal ones we find but taste just as nice. They could probably add more ingredients to it though.

however the chef made a twist of it and made it very luxurious

i cannot stop raving about this currythis is most likely the best seller at 1919this seafood ingredients include deep fried fish fillet and lalathe lala is rather small but I think it's perfect for this dish because what you want is actually to enjoy the gravythe vegetables that the chef include in the curry include long beans, cabbages, and even tau fu pokthis is best enjoyed with warm white rice

1919 is a bungalow in the middle of KL citythey have ample ground which allows at least 6 -7 average sized car to be parked in the vicinityas a starter I had the deep fried egg plant and kerabu saladthe eggplant is sliced into long shreds and then deep friedeggplant is very hard to fry but the chef did it very wellthe kerabu salad was mainly made of young mango so it's on the harder and sourish side

这道是很开胃口的餐前食物,端上桌时给人的感觉是一道拼盘,卖相也很好,所有的食物都是以油炸为主,中间放有大家所说的佛钵(是把芋泥炸成一粒的佛钵)特点是上面放有芒果丝,黄瓜丝和大葱头丝,酱汁是淋上太式辣椒酱,酱里头再加上有小辣椒和花生碎粒,吃在嘴里也很有花生香味,酱汁酸酸甜甜,蛮开胃的,加上油炸的茄子和绿色的菜叶放在碟旁,再淋上少许的太式辣椒酱,油炸的茄子看起来很像炸薯条,吃过了之后才知道是这么的好吃,整体上看来蛮吸引,没吃过的你不妨到此一试
