One cannot simply miss this famous Penang delicacy when staying in this island. I find that the noodles here were rather soggy but in the good way, due to a more genuine rice flour taste compared to those boric acid laden noodles (lai fun). The broth was nicely sour without strong vinegar taste, like the ones here in KL that I used to have. My only complaint here is that the broth lacked minced fish meat in it. The broth was nicely sour without strong vinegar taste, like the ones here in KL that I used to have. My only complaint here is that the broth lacked minced fish meat in it. Coupled with condiments such as shredded lettuce, cucumbers, onions, mint leaves and pineapples, the taste and texture was further enhanced.
