Otak Otak

My parents were original Penangites and from young, i am accustomed to Penang food and i have very high standard of requirements when it comes to penang food. One of the penang food i like is the otak otak. I don't trust any vendors in klang valley that sells local otak otak. Those who labelled themselves from penang were not authentic either. The otak otak at Lorong Seratus Tahun was above average. Not good enough though. I think taste wise, something was still lacking. The otak otak was steame

The otak otak at Lorong Seratus Tahun was above average. Not good enough though. I think taste wise, something was still lacking. The otak otak was steamed warm and served to us. The leaf that wraps the otak otak has a mild scent. The otak otak was moist, juicy and spicy.
