My best friend was craving for roasted chicken the other day and so we came to a conclusion that we will have our lunch at After Black. It is so convenient to dine in there as After Black is just a few footsteps away from our university.Upon entering the cafe, we were greeted by the friendly staff and they quickly brought us to our table. Upon entering the cafe, we were greeted by the friendly staff and they quickly brought us to our table. As we were starving, we quickly flipped through the menu and began ordering. Both of us ordered the garlic and herb roasted chicken whole leg because it looks great on the menu. My friend added on with a plate of oglio olio spaghetti as she is a big eater.
While waiting for our food to arrive, we were looking around and I noticed that the café played really soothing and relaxing music, we felt really comfortable having each other’s company at such a lovely café. Our food came really quick despite the amount of people in the café! This café is always packed with students, especially lunch hours!
The garlic and herb chicken whole leg tasted so good! Especially with the honey that was drizzled on top of the chicken. And the potato salad was surprisingly good too! The seasoning was good and the portion was just right! The chicken had a shiny glazed to it and the skin was really crispy! The chicken flesh was really tender and not rubbery. However, my friend commented that the oglio olio spaghetti was a let-down. The flavours are not quite to her liking.
Overally, After Black is a great place to catch up with your best buddies!
