There is a difference between a burger that one can hold with both hands to eat and those you need a knife and fork. The latter type in my opinion is an open face meat patty sandwich. I was taken aback by now what I personally consider one of my fav place for a traditional 200 gram prime beef burger. The freshness of the veg was not filtered. Natural as it is - bright red tomatoes and healthy green. The sauce was not flooded that it messes you up. The patty; the most important part was it has that steak beef after taste and not like some with the tasteless binders (you are chewing at breadcrumbs or starch) and what took it home was after my first bite and placed the burger back on the plate, the juice was just oozing out. Beautiful sight. Decadent. 繼續閱讀

mosaic had an entire section dedicated to local and international dessertsthey kept their pastries such as cup cakes and macarooms in chilled display counters and you would have to open them yourself to take the the pastrythey also had home made ice cream with really interesting flavours such as papayatheir home made ice cream which are fruit based are a sorbet while the choclate and vanilla are rich and creamyfor the ice cream, there will be a waiter to serve youand a buffet place like mosaic certainly has to have a chocolate fountainand just cause they can, they have decided to go for white chocolate instead of milk choclatenext to the fountain is an array of dried fruits and nuts for you to dip in the white chocolate 繼續閱讀

The Mandarin Oriental unveiled Mosaic this month, a dazzlingly designed venue that succeeds Biba's Cafe as the hotel's 24-hour flagship eatery. Buffets are the dominant draw, but since we weren't feeling like a feast, we foraged through Mosaic's a la carte menu instead. However, the kitchen might have been swamped with Ramadan diners, resulting in offerings that sometimes missed the mark. MO Cobb Salad with fire-roasted corn, avocado, quail eggs, blue cheese & smoked chicken. Naturally, prices here are high, but this bowl contained unexpectedly meager ingredients for RM38++. Check out Arthur's at the Shangri-La for a more satisfyingly lavish Cobb salad. Chilean Chardonnay (Errazuriz, Casablanca Valley), RM36++ by the generously filled glass. Cocktails here are constantly and comfortingly creative. Spicy Mango Chelada (Tiger beer, mango chili infusion, fresh lime) & Malay Mojito (Havana Silver Rum, mint, Melaka palm sugar, fresh lime). Prices start at RM30++.Service at both outlets is sterling, befitting of the Mandarin Oriental's reputation. 繼續閱讀

Mosaic will be featuring a feast of Indian delights at its' all-day dining restaurant. Hailing from The Oberoi, Mumbai, Chef Rahul Kulkarni promises guest an authentic Indian cuisine indulgence.Having more than 10 years experience in the culinary scene, Chef Rahul has won numerous awards in recognition of his passion and achievements in Indian cuisine. Apart from having worked at some of the biggest hotels in India, he has also been awarded numerous award in recognition of his accomplishments such as the Gold Medal and Best Dessert Category Award at the National Chef Competition organised by the Taj Group of Hotels and runner-up at the International Chefs' Day Competition just to name a few.The highlight of this promotion include the Banana leaf wrapped fish, cooked with indian spices. It gives you a very aromatic coconut milk flavor, very tangy and creamy. The indian cuisine corner with lots of authentic Indian curry.A must have item in indian cuisine which is the garlic naan, and plain naan. Southern Curry, full of flavor, though it's a bit too salty to my palate, but according to him, this is how the way it's suppose to be cooked. Nasi Biryani- a type of dense and rich in flavor rice. Seasone with lots of ghee and indian spices. Tandoori corner, with selection of beef, chicken , fish and seafoods. Beef rendang, totally the opposite of malay style. You can literally taste the difference . It's more fragrant , dense, and salty. ;P 繼續閱讀
