A friend called me up and asked if me and the spouse are free to join them at this place. My first reply? It's not open to public. But this friend apparently saw some promos they are having for Jun & Jul and it's open to publicSo we drove up and was surprised at the crowd everywhere on the beach adjoining the hotel and the packed hotel too! We told the guard on duty that we had made reservations for a table of 8 and they let us inWe were brought to the restaurant on a buggy (convenient and breezy) and enjoyed the view until we reachedThe meal was less than RM40 per pax and consists of 6 courses with rice and tea and what was amazing was the right balance of tastes - it was just perfect! Not too salty or sweet or greasy! And the lemongrass jelly at the end was yummy until we wished they sold this outside of the Golden Palm TreeService was impeccable too! Our fave dish? The chicken! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and such a nice sauce. Our second fave dish? The fish. Not sure what type of fish (sorry not my forte) but the fruity sauce with a tinge of savory was perfectLooking forward to the next promotion!
