Apart from the fantastic dim sum buffet served here, the desserts are quite good too. There is a mixture of western, local and Chinese desserts to wash down the dim sum. One of my favourite is the black sesame mochi which is packed with black sesame fillings. Each order only has one piece of the mochi but you can order as many as you can if you in for the buffet. Apart from mocha, there is also the teh tarik ice-cream which is served with fried bananas. 繼續閱讀

Recently Five Sen5es did a promotion on their lunch dim sum and I was invited to try out the promotion with a couple of friends who had the the Starwoods loyalty card. The card gave us an additional discount on top of the promotion price. The dishes served were quite small and enough for one person only but you can order unlimited sets and still pay the same price. The pau here was quite good even though a little small in size, the char siew inside the pau was minced nicely and has a sweet aftertaste. 繼續閱讀

Was here for a dim sum lunch buffet but ended up liking the desserts more than the dim sum's. I am not saying the dim sum served here is not good or worth trying but the dessert's stand out more than the dim sum. The restaurant is currently having a promotion on the lunch dim sum buffet and if you have a starwood's card you can get additional discount too. The dessert above is the black sesame mochi. The size of the mochi is roughly the size of a chicken egg or slightly larger. The black sesame puree is thick and leaves a sweet aftertaste in the mouth. 繼續閱讀

It's no April Fool's joke: EEST at The Westin changed its name on April 1 to Five Sen5es (pronounced 'Five Senses,' of course), completing its transformation into a Chinese restaurant. Say farewell to EEST's Pan-Asian offerings of pomelo salads, sashimi & beef cheek rendang; bid hello to porky Oriental pleasures such as thousand-layer pig ears. We're so ready for this jelly! Charcoal-roasted ribs, juicy & smoky-savory. What more could a carnivorous customer want? Carb-lovers, munch on the crispy-fluffy flower buns & dunk them in the sweet sauce. Smoked pork bacon, waxed meat & salted fish. Moreish, especially with rice. Guangzhou-style double-steamed pork belly with preserved veggies. Recipes like this are what give Chinese cooking a good name. Intriguing ice creams, ginger & Mandarin orange-flavored. Really refreshing. Wine doesn't come cheap here (sigh!). Must fork out at least RM150++ per bottle. 繼續閱讀

Sen5e of Touch Crispy Black Fungus and Pork Layers, ''Zi Kong'' Chili Vinegar Oil Dressing. RM25The braised pig’s ear is served simply, yet is deliciously pleasurable with its soft and gelatinous textures. The soy braising essence delivers you delicious aromatics and the Chinese braising spices offer a lightly savoury and slightly sweet element at the same time.Five Sen5es is home to the most authentic Cantonese cuisine that offers a wide array ala carte menu besides Dim Sum,which prepared with care and presented to personify the Five Human Sen5es.... I would definitely visit this place if i have extra cash. ;) *winks* 繼續閱讀
