Italian food is one type of cuisine that I never seem to get bored of. While I usually prefer to reserve my Italian meals to more purposeful dining ventures with my better half, sometimes, the mood just strikes when I'm alone and looking for a casual lunch.Such was the case on a Saturday afternoon after finishing up some work at the office. Such was the case on a Saturday afternoon after finishing up some work at the office. While they did have more inexpensive options, I decided to go for the freshly made pasta - pappardelle with mushrooms and spicy ragu sauce. Freshly made pappardelle is like the pasta version of pan mee. Fresh and has a more lovely texture. While I wished there was more meat and sauce in my pasta, overall, there's really nothing to complain about. In fact, it was really delicious. The ragu sauce (beef) was rich and chunky, and the mushrooms were cooked to moist bouncy perfection.
For 27 bucks, it's not exactly priced in the "casual" range, but the friendly service and decently sized portion put a smile on my face.
However, given the choice, I'd still pick finer restaurants for my Italian meals.
