Having a bit of an uneasy throat, hence I felt like on the verge of getting a sore throat. Mum decided to bring me to Koong Woh Tong to have some herbal tea. My impression of herbal tea is sweet, so I agreed. Little did I know, mum told the waitress to add in some bitter powder. It was quite difficult to swallow, but after finishing the bowl, the waitress kindly gave me some sweet chrysanthemum tea to wash away the bitterness.

Went to paradigm mall for dinner recently, and took away a bowl of herbal jelly or also known as guai ling gou. This bowl of herbal jelly has supposedly medicinal properties such as cooling the body down and making your skin smoother.Regardless, I bought it as a cooling dessert to share with my family. I ordered a small one which costs RM8.00. It comes with a small can of syrup. The herbal jelly on its own is bitter, but with the syrup it becomes a pleasant dessert as it is a very smooth but firm jelly. It has very strong taste of herbal medicine, and gives a much strong aroma in your mouth once you start eating it. As it is served cold, it cools the body down especially on a hot day.The syrup has some honey taste to it, so it makes the dessert with some honey taste of it.
