Water chestnutThis is a signature dessert of Thai Food. It is not in the menu but any Thai food lover will definitely know this. They will serve it upon request. A bowl of shaved ice topped with jackfruits, chestnut and coconut milk. A very chilling bowl of dessert. The jackfruit is sweet and the chestnut is crunchy. Haven't been eating this for long. Miss this so much !

Miang KamThis is a Traditional Thai Appetizer. I can hardly see this else where thus this is my first time trying it. Comes with 7 bowls of ingredients : chill padi, dried shrimps, dice onions, dice lime, dice ginger, ground nuts and roasted coconut shavings.Serving with this Piper Sarmentosum leaves and fish sauce.How to eat? After done, wrap it up and put the whole package into your mouth. Bursting up in the mouth, tasted spicy, sweet, sour, salty. Basically every spices. Quite nice to eat and most importantly the ingredients are all fresh.

Three taste Fish.The fish is deep fried and showered with their special made sauce. The sauce tasted, with tomato sourish, sweet, and little spicy. That's why its call three taste? The fish is quite fresh without the fishy smell. The meat are whitish tender too. I like the crispy skin which are nicely fried till golden color. Not to forget, all the fried dishes here are side with coleslaw. Something for decoration and also refreshing vege for us beside the fried food.a friend recommend me this t

Three taste Fish.
The fish is deep fried and showered with their special made sauce. The sauce tasted, with tomato sourish, sweet, and little spicy. That's why its call three taste? The fish is quite fresh without the fishy smell. The meat are whitish tender too. I like the crispy skin which are nicely fried till golden color.

a friend recommend me this thai restaurant... they claim that the thai food is very spicy nice and yummy..

Nameless Fried ChickenA very special name of it. The chicken are deep fried with Khuntai's special spices. It seems abit over fried because it is dark brown in color. However, it still taste nice with the strong aroma of spices. The chicken meat are chewy but not tender enough. It is quite dry actually. Like eating the outer layer and chicken skin. Very crunchy and the spices is delicious.

Fried Kangkung with BelacanThe kangkung vegetable is very fresh because it is so crunchy biting them. The sauce is thick and full of chilli paste. The belacan taste is strong too. Petai Prawns
The petai prawns are cooked with sambal chilli paste. The prawns are huge and fresh. Very sweet and crunchy eating them. Dipping with the sauce is excellent. I don't take petai, but my friend likes it alot. They are very fresh and taste good.

Khuntai Restaurant is very crowded especially during weekends and public holidays. They have to extend the tables out with a few canopies, therefore the restaurant is open air. Although with big fans but still feeling hot especially after eating their spicy food.Tomyam SeafoodVery big portion for 4 of us. Tomyam Seafood
Very big portion for 4 of us. The tomyam soup consist of huge prawns, squid, abalone mushroom, button mushroom, clams, tomatoes, chilli padi, parsley, onions etc. The ingredients are very fresh especially the huge prawns. The tomyam spices is very strong and I love drinking it. The soup is reddish, sourish, and spicy. Just that i drank lots of cold water too, because they are really very spicy but addictive !!

Food was served really really amazingly fast here O_O I think all our dishes arrived in 5 minutes! The place is quite busy as I see the waiters running back and forth.Thai green curry chicken, RM 15. Not the best but still okay.Tom Yum Soup with Fish, RM 19 for small, RM 33 for big. There was a looot of fish in here. Stir fried diced chicken in yam ring basket, RM 18. Note : This is not the Chinese yam basket. The yam is not soft! I think it was mashed up then piped out to form the shape. The yam was too hard to eat. There were chicken chunks and prawns inside but IMO, quite little.

Overall, the food is affordable considering the amount we ate. There is plenty of parking here, road's sandy (don't wear heels) and there's no air cond.

This is one of the better Thai restaurants out there. It's not posh, fancy, or grand, but it does the trick.The chicken tom yam was thick, sour and spicy. A real kicker!The omelette was a fried golden - a little towards the crispy end, but I prefer my eggs fluffy.The paku belacan was very thick and strong - perhaps too strong to go with tom yam. Don't ever order the tofu with crab. It's terrible - they use processed crab meat that has questionable amount of actual crab meat.
