Ming Yang Restaurant (已結業)

The curry laksa in Ming Yang Restaurant is quite delicious. The noodles are well done, not too soft, while the curry gravy is flavourful. The santan and chilli combination is just right. There were plenty of ingredients as well. There was my favourite pig skin, tau pok, chicken chunks, long beans, and most importantly, cockles. Priced at RM5 per bowl, it was definitely well worth the amount paid.

I was hanging around Ara Damansara waiting for my car to be washed. Since there was nothing to do, I decided to go over to Restaurant Ming Yang to have a drink while waiting. I ordered the milo kosong panas, ans the waiter brought it almost immediately. The milo wasn't too sweet, as I didn't want condensed milk to be added. The milo aroma was very apparent, and they definitely did not skimp on the ingredients. Well worth the amount paid.

Didn't know what to eat for dinner, so decided to go around in Ara Damansara to see what was available. Went into the roads of NiuXeZui and spotted a Chinese kopitiam, with a Nasi Lemak Kukus Iskandar stall right in front. That'll work for me. Went over to the stall to tapau a pack. I was passing by Ara Damansara when I caught sight of a few old friends. We decided to head over to Ming Yang Restaurant to have lunch and to catch up. I ordered the herbal tea, and it came in a jiffy. The herbal tea had some honey and ginseng taste to it, which was most delicious. It wasn't very sweet, just nice. Priced at RM1.60 per cup, it was reasonably priced. Definitely recommended!

There is a stall selling vietnamese food in this coffee shop. The dish i ordered was the vietnamese deep fried chicken in lemon grass with rice. The rice also comes with a pan fried egg , some cucumber and tomatoes. I love the deep fried chicken, it was slightly oily, but well spiced. The flavorful chicken was also very tender and quite a big piece. Love that i was served chicken thigh instead of chicken breast.

我没有想到会在这边看到有人在卖马来式的椰浆饭，毕竟是华人茶餐室，而且他是蒸饭的，就是马来同胞的nasi kukus，所以就决定要吃下，那饭很香，粒粒分明，炸鸡也不错，炸得很香很脆，三巴还蛮辣的。

Sometimes to find good char kuey teow is not that easy. When i had my visit at this coffee shop, i did not want to expect too much. In the dead area of NZX, there's only a handful of shops left open, some of them are mamaks and only one of them is a kopitiam.
