Taiwan 101 台湾饭店 is truly on the taiwan food and i like the simple rice here. order the vegetables and also the taufu here is delicious .fragrant rice and i like the small bowl serving of the rice. this kind of restaurant surely charge you expensive dining rate, but here i like the quality of food.i enjoy the environment as well with the pleasant service here too

taiwan 101 is located at the jalan imbi and nearby the time square area. but this place maybe hard to find as it was located on the right side of the main road. and might miss out this place. here famous of the authentic taiwan cuisines. the utensil and decoration is clean and nice and i like the pork rice with the vegetables of the famous taiwan cooking style. the pork meat is juicy and also cut into smaller pieces

always thinking to try something new dishes with my family and also some new cuisine in town. as in klang valley we can find many new and nice place to have certain specialize cuisine, such as hakka, shanghai style, hokkien and also teow chew porridge.something different to try on this taiwai 101- serving fully specialty in taiwan food, even the whole restaurant deco is so taiwanese and so special decoration and presentation of their utensil all wrap nicely without any dustall the staff are spea

all the staff are speaking in mandarin. so luckily i can speak in mandarin and no miscommunication here. price is higher as this kind of place surely charge you expensive dining rate.

the minced pork rice is serving in small bowl, very nice and the sauce really good

Taiwan 101 is situated along the roadside of Jalan Imbi and hardly to find a parking.There is only few tables occupied when we reach there and greeted by a waitress and she seems to be a new staff. We have ordered one minced pork rice with ice lemon tea and one minced pork rice with Chinese herb dessert.the rice is so small bowl but i guess that is how taiwan cuisine is like that. price is ok for the small rice is only RM 6

If you plan to dine at this restaurant, it is advisable to go earlier as it has very limited parking space unless you are willing to walk a distance.The standard starters served to us consisting of braised pig ears, braised egg and cold bean curd with seaweed. In particular the pig ears, I felt it was crunchy thought it was black fungus, initially, I was not aware of this dish until I had that finished and my BF told me, I just had pig ears. The other two items cold bean curd was marinated with vinegar, taste a bit sourish and braised egg with herbs were taste normal like our local ones.

The owner of the restaurant has proudly shared with us that his chef is Taiwanese and most of the ingredients are imported directly from Taiwan. He cannot compromise with the quality and his principle when come to his food. He is indeed a very interesting man. According to his recommendation, one shall not miss the popular Taiwanese Minced Pork Rice. I, personally like this rice too. Portion is slightly bigger than the one served at Little Taiwan. According to his recommendation, one shall not miss the popular Taiwanese Minced Pork Rice. I, personally like this rice too. Portion is slightly bigger than the one served at Little Taiwan. I do not mind to have just this for dinner as the mixture can fill up my stomach if the portion is bigger. It was very appetizing taste as its own recipe marinated minced pork were really fragrant and easy to consume. The way to eat this is to mix the rice well with the minced pork before eating.

When we visited the restaurant, we did not put a high expectation on them as we arrived, the restaurant looks empty and we gave ourselves the reason, perhaps we were early for dinner. In fact, we were the first diners in the restaurant at that time. One could imagine, either they served poor quality of cuisine or pricey cuisine.

Even floor staff, we only saw 1 staff at that time. Just a few seconds, the owner turned up at our table and started to introduce himself and explaining each and every item on the menu to us. He would also do recommendation to you. Firstly, credits must went to his public relation skill.

Finally, we decided to order fish. Each dish presenting to us, the owner will explained in Mandarin (fast for me to grab), how the fish is prepared and ingredients used. First time in my life met someone being so passionate about food and care to share his knowledge with his diners. I did not catch 50% of his saying, however, I used my tongue to discover what he has said to us. Then I will check with my partner who understands mandarin.

Overall of the dish, I would comment expect the unexpected but I do not mean, it is bad but different. May be the presentation do not look appealing to all but I would like to say, the taste is different. Initially I thought the black sauce was the soy sauce. The sauce was not salty at all but slightly sourish and that was referred to the vinegar. It was not the whole fish served and rather small the portion but just right for 2. Due to the vinegar sauce, we have a tough time to taste the fish meat of its freshness and its sweetness but it was certainly smooth for its texture. The cooking is so different with our local cooking. Good try!

The owner also explained that vinegar is good for health. He does take vinegar on empty stomach for many years for good health. No wonder he has rosy cheek. He said, all his vinegar is imported from Taiwan.

This is really food + passion = art.

Went for dinner at this Taiwanese cuisine restaurant. Owner is a male Taiwanese. He is warm and friendly man who shared and introduced in greater details of his cuisine. The Taiwanese owner has made the effort to explain to his every single diner came to his restaurant about the cuisine. Sharing his passion about his food on quality and value for money. In the picture is a dish named Special Beancurd. How did the name come from? He explained to us that the Beancurd is basically homemade from the process of grinding the soya beans till it formed a beancurd. Due to the process from A-Z, the preparation may take sometime to be ready to serve. He also stressed that the beancurd has no preservatives used and that you would see the texture is rough.

Overall, I would comment that the beancurd as described by the owner is genuinely fresh, homemade, quality effort and taste of strong soya beans. Love it for the softness and freshness. Enjoyed this dish very much.
