2017-02-24

Some things in life are best hidden, especially when you can enjoy a glass or two in these bars which are obviously not exactly ‘hidden’ in sight, but they are not the usual place where many would notice and chill in there!

Where shall we begin? Let’s go.

HYDE at 53M

Classic east meets west interior, decorated with birdcages chandelier, antique window panels from the 1950’s, cozy lounge sofa that totally creates the feel of how it should be during the past. To enter, notice the vintage signage ‘Won Ton Noodle’ to enter Suzie Wong.

Cocktails never tasted the same way here at Crime Cocktail Bar. Locate your way to the entrance of this hidden bar where its inside but above Crave Oyster & Seafood House. Dimly lit, leather sofas and exactly just how it feels during the 1920’s Godfather gangster era; come here for signature cocktails and taste the best from their professional mixologist award winner too.

PS 150

Right at the heart of Petaling Street, one might not notice the secluded bar here. Featuring 5 different eras of cocktails on the menu, there are 3 distinct seating areas too. Oriental themed, this is surely one of the must check-in bars in Petaling Street.

Great Hall

A restaurant & bar seemingly getting attention among the USJ-ians, upon entering you’ll notice a great Chairman Mao’s revolutionary spirit where they have quite a great fusion style mains and murals featuring the Chairman Mao’s era. Creative cocktails and live band performance, give them a try.

The Attic Bar

Wanted to sneak to a place where peace is restored and with a nice view too? Come over to The Attic Bar, hidden inside Travel Hub Guest Hotel at Jalan Balai Polis here, this place makes it a great place to enjoy some booze and company from your partner. This urban bar too is decorated with birdcages chandelier and dimly lit with some exposed bricks, a place for the explorer like you!

The Pawn Room

A trend here in the Klang Valley, let’s take a look at this too – The Pawn Room is too decorated in an Oriental style where is it to look like a Chinese old times pawn shop, but of course they are a cozy speakeasy and the drinks are inspired by oriental flavors as well. Visit them today.

Shelley Yu’s

If oriental styles are what the others are doing, then Shelley Yu’s might be a lil different. A mixture of the ‘Peranakan’ food and Nyonya inspired cocktails, head over to Bangsar for a change perhaps? Enjoy Peranakan dishes here like the ‘Cincaluk’ eggs or Ikan Goreng chili that will spice up your taste buds for sure.  Not sure which cocktail to order? Adding in Nyonya elements into every house-made cocktails, enjoy sipping them up upon served!
