This plate of classic carbonara will surely fill an empty stomach cow. The portion was quite big, not to mention it has lots of cream in there. The pasta was cooked perfectly. There wasn't a part that was undercooked. The sauce was flavourful but it was slightly too thick and creamy. This would make someone feel more 'jelak' with it. The beef were pretty normal. Overall, a very satisfying plate of pasta in terms of portion. continue reading

Italiannies is famed for their Italian pizzas and pastas but we have already tried a number of pasta and pizza from their menu. So during our fifth visit there, we decided to try on their roastec chicken with balsamic glaze.Roasted Chicken with Balsamic Glaze.The chicken is marinated with herbs and then roasted, finally glazed with balsamic. It is served with fried rosemary wedges and garlic butter broccoli. The serving is so big, almost half the chicken is served. Luckily we ordered it for sharing. Finishing the chicken is a tough job, not only because the portion is huge, but also because the chicken is dry and hard, not tender at all. Wedges, on the other hand, is very nice. continue reading

While waiting for our meal in Italiannies, the waiter served us a complimentary home-made Focaccia and Tuscan bread with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. The bread is soft and when you Dip into the pool of Vinegar and Olive oil, somehow there is a unique taste that is hard to describe. continue reading
