As I saw another table ordering this dish, I promptly ordered this dish, but only a small one as my other 2 friends are not too keen on it.This dish of braised pork trotter comes with a hard boiled egg. This dish of braised pork trotter comes with a hard boiled egg. My first bite confirmed my suspicions that the trotters were not cooked enough. Although the fatty parts melts in the mouth, I find that the meat closer to the joints were not cooked wel, thus making it quite tough certain parts of the meat. The gravy however, were flavourful and salted well.
The egg was also alright, but I would prefer to have the egg cooked in the gravy longer to absorb more flavour.

Unfortunately, this dish looks better than it tastes.

From the name, anybody could guess that Ah Soon Kor Rawang actually comes from Rawang. I have never heard of such restaurant in Rawang before (Mainly because I do not go there nor do I have friends who come from there). The waiter introduced me to try their steamed fish head, which was among one of their signature dish and best seller. As there were only 3 of us to dine that day, a steamed fish head would suffice for the 3 of us.The steamed fish head that we ordered was the ginger steamed style.

The steamed fish head that we ordered was the ginger steamed style. When the dish arrived, my first impression was indeed that they have put in much ginger into the dish. The ginger was spread out generously throughout the fish, and it gives the dish a spicy strong taste of ginger. The fish was fresh, and perhaps due to the amount of ginger that I could not smell any fishy smell at all. The flakes of meat in the fish were smooth and flavourful, which shows that the fish was cooked perfectly.

I have tasted better steamed fish head, but the one here is not too bad.
