The hakka mee have less minced meat compared to last time. For the herbal chicken, the taste has been subsided compared to previous heavy herbal gravy. Now, the sauce is the only soy sauce and sweet. The price is RM8.Both dishes I tried is under one shop.

The Restaurant 金宝特制酿料客家面饮食馆 will be packed and crowded during lunch hours and long queues outside the shop waitting their turns to order and The Restaurant is dining in air-conditioned . There are huge varieties type of fish balls , dumplings , vegetables and bean curd , as well as braised trotter with vinegar , pork intestines , chicken feet and steam herbal chicken . You need to place the orders at the noodle counter at the main entrance . Yong tau foo, well known in Malaysia and Singapore , Most patrons would come here for Hakka Mee because this dish is not much found in Penang . Hakka Mee that prepared here if from hand made noodles served with some savory minced pork and spring onion . The Hakka Mee was one of the dish that you cannot miss. For the side dishes you might want to order few piece of "yong tau fu" to companion with the noodles .

A friend brought me to this coffee shop located in an industrial area. Seems like the shop is quite well known for hakka mee and yong tau foo. The Hakka Mee really do live up to its reputation, it was so chewy and bouncy, this I was told is due to it being hand made. The noodles were topped with minced pork which tasted sufficiently flavoured that it coats the mee nicely once mixed. The fried wantan that I chose was crispy and the filling of fish meat is tasty and fresh. Same goes for the fried beancurd which is not oily and tasted of home cooked good food. The presentation at this shop is simple but manages to capture your interest from the moment you taste their selections which are really worth a try.

This shop is very famous in Bayan Lepas area. We always say this is Hakka Mee shop. Many people who work at Bayan Lepas area will always come here. It serves with bean sprout and soya sauce. I always come here with my friend and one person usually costs around RM7.50. Their food are freshly made everyday. During lunch time the shop is always full.

The noodles are chewy and not too dried. The egg is fried and the egg yolk was taken out and replaced with the fish meat. They also serve other side dishes such as chicken feet and paper wrap chicken.
