A family gathering at Hilton Double Tree- Makan Kitchen which serves diverse of Malaysian cuisine. The interior and long dinning tables were superb for a family reunion. I found a beautiful private room which was suppose to be closed for some minor maintenance work, but the staff were really helpful to postpone the work for us to use it for the day. The best about this buffet is the desserts. Every single dessert i tasted here was so very delicious, the cheese cake, chocolate banana, red bean mochi, apple crumble etc. The main dishes were separated into few areas, indian food where you can order freshly made naan bread and have a wide choice or curries and tandoori to go with it. The chinese food area had roast duck, chicken, little mooncakes. The malay food had rendang, and several meat dishes and ulam. Another area serving different kinds of noodles eg. tom yam, beef soup, Sarawak laksa. There were freshly made satay which tasted really good. Solid meat no fat. Not to forget the ice kacang with many choices of toppings and fruit juices. Visitors are spoil of choices. The buffet costs about RM59 per person for lunch, however with a few credit cards you can get 20% off and senior citizen could get 50% discount. Overall this hotel has one of the best dining interior around town.
