TDH has been around for awhile now & is still as good as when they opened. It shows as it is almost always crowded. They are famous for their weekend brunch (10am to 2pm) which serves a variety of dishes like the big breakfast, steak & eggs, corned beef frittatas & pancakes. All with free flow of coffee, tea and juice. Have tried them all & they are yummeh. Best part you can also have them with a pint of cider or stout. ;)Apart from brunch their regular menu is also worth a try. From bar snacks (nachos, chicken skin crackers, luncheon meat chips, etc) to lunch & dinner items (burgers, bangers & mash, pork knuckle, etc). They are all yummy served in decent size portions with quality ingredients.Service is a hit & miss. Occasionally they are rather slow or not attentive enough. However nothing that will deter you from returning. This could be due to the laid back atmosphere they promote. Being a typical bar the layout is casual with high & low wooden tables and chairs, classic black & white flooring, bare concrete & dim lighting. It is also pet friendly which is a plus.Highly recommended for all. Great for a meal or just to waste your day away with mates or a loved one sipping on some beers, cocktails or wine. continue reading

Tom, Dick & Harry Pub is somewhere I frequent and mostly for work. Most of the time I don't order any food but yesterday we had a long gig at the Taman Tun Pub so we had our early and 'light' dinner before the event started. TDH TTDI is situated on Lorong Rahim Kajai 14 with many striving pubs (Sid's Pub being another one that is always packed), and there is definitely a reason behind their success: their grub, the friendly staff and generally pleasant ambiance. You cannot go to TDH without ordering a side of these Pork fries. The name sounds straight forward, but you might (or might not) be shocked to find that these are basically deep fried luncheon meat! Despite sounding absolutely horrible especially to health freak, it's super addictive. I mean, just look at this! You can see how crispy it is. With the soft umani centre, it's dangerous not to down in one! To make ourselves feel a little bit better (not so much since even their salad contains pork), we order a Caesar salad too to share. And I must say this presentation is not bad at all for a pub. Filled with the usual romaine lettuce, pieces of bacon, some grilled chicken, garlic bread and a fried egg on top. We requested for the dressing to be on the side (to avoid extra calories, but who are we kidding anyway... haha). I liked the thick dressing which is infused with plenty of umaniness from anchovies, though not sure if it's made in house. This was a decent salad. If the bacon were more crispy it would have been perfect. At TDH, they really take their pork seriously, so if you love your bacon, this is where you should consider visiting. Psstt... they also have Pork knuckle! Vegetarians might find themselves enjoying their version of pizza, which is actually a cheat version with some flat bread, but still good nonetheless. But if you are a vegan, I guess your best bet is the beer. ;) continue reading

continue reading

Business is booming at this lively pub _ the perfect place for a casual night out. Maybe there are teething problems, but the main reason to come here for now seems to be the atmosphere and warm service, not the food. The pork burger looked promising, but the patties were bland and lacking in juiciness. Apple pie with vanilla ice cream. The pie was piping-hot and tasted fairly fresh, though the crust wasn't quite flaky or buttery enough. Deep-fried Mars and Snickers bars with vanilla ice cream. Incredibly indulgent. Thankfully, the batter was light and not oily at all. Hopscotch Martini (vodka, butterscotch, milk, sugar syrup), Mama Tom's Margarita and Ultimate Mudslide Martini (vodka, kahlua, creme de banana, amarula, milk). Zen (green tea liqueur, brandy, peach schnapps, honey, green tea), Snake Bite (apple cider, carlsberg beer, ribena) and Harry's Fling (gin, paraiso lychee, lime juice). Still, the plus points outweigh the negative. The food comes in hearty portions and is reasonably priced. Also, most of the cocktails cost only RM22 (though the booze content is a bit low). continue reading

Had this pancake set for breakfast sometime ago at Tom, Dick and Harry's. This place is a bar which is quite happening at night with live music and the breakfast here is equally good. The pancake has deep dark brown color and it is quite thick too unlike the cheap one's you get from fast food restaurants. They also come with vanilla ice-cream and caramelized bananas which is quite filling. The maple syrup is quite thick and good stuff too unlike those cheap and watered down maple syrup. continue reading
