This restaurant is highly recommended by me, as a person who will never stop loving their signature dish, Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken!

My Teh Tarik and his Milo Dinosaur. As usual, I ordered Teh Tarik, the so-called "pulled tea", to couple with my Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken. It's the kind of heavy breakfast or brunch that I have always loved. My boyfriend wanted to try something new and special, so he had a cup of Milo Dinosaur. It is literally Iced Milo topped with a thick layer of milo powder. It is fun to eat the powder alone, but it might be too filling for me.

Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken. Indeed, other than this, I have never ordered anything else that is available in the restaurant. That’s how much I love their Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken! I still couldn't figure out the ingredients used to fry the chicken, but I would say that no one has ever produced anything that tastes similarly to that of Village Park Restaurant, Damansara Uptown. They're always crispy and tender too!

Black Pepper Ban Mian and Hot Green Tea. I have never ordered anything with soup at this restaurant. This is because fried ban mian can rarely be found, or it can only be found at Hometown Ban Mian, which makes me prioritize the different types of fried ban mian available at this restaurant. Despite so, it was merely my second visit over here, and I ordered the same thing as my first visit.

Anyway, I like it. I would love it if it didn't worsen my throat's condition. It was filled with the fragrant of black pepper. As I put a few pieces of ban mian into my mouth, I could slowly feel the slight spiciness. The level of spiciness was still acceptable. At least my tongue never went numb even after I finished my meal. Also, I love the fact that they cooked it together with capsicums, which have recently become one of my favorite food, and my all time favorite prawns. I totally enjoyed it.

Although I couldn't quite recall the name of this snack, it is recommended. It's sweet lotus seed paste covered with thin layers of crispy skin, perfect to be eaten after your meal, as a dessert. The filling was thick as well, unlike many other restaurants that tend to be too stingy to provide more, destroying the entire texture of the snack.

P/S: I am a person who loves most of the food made of flour. Thus, my review may not be applicable to anyone who does not really prefer food with thick flour.

The day was filled with foods, foods, and foods that I had during a tiny little family gathering at Lemon Garden Cafe, Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. This hotel is known to be luxurious yet truth to be told, everything seemed normal as compared to the private hotels I had been to. The parking basement of the hotel itself was already something pretty disappointing and it was even worse than the shopping malls like 1U, Mid Valley Megamall, Sunway Pyramid, and etc. Anyway, I shall start off with some food-related photos that might make you drool.

P/S: The photos were taken only after my stomach was close to being bloated, but I’ll try my best to explain more about the food available in the cafe.

These were prawns wrapped in egg noodles or mee hoon and deep fried. Even though the shells were not peeled off before they were served, they tasted good, and they were very crispy. Apart from prawns, the Chinese section has the common Chinese foods like steamed fishes that tasted heavenly good and fresh at the beginning but worsen when more people came, Chinese-style fried rice, roasted ducks, some common dim sum and others.

They also served Japanese food, western food, Malaysian food which was the must, and etc including different types of salads. I never have any sashimi served and I never will, but I still ate their cold, cooked prawns because for your information, prawns are always in my top favorite list.

I have to say that they have the best satay I have ever eaten in my life so far. The chicken meat was so tender and I couldn't even taste any oily fats at all, like seriously. Even my mum who didn't really prefer to have satay, thought the same as I did. Yum! lol

Otak-otak was served as well but I personally thought there wasn't anything special about it.

Say hi to chocolate fondue! There was a strawberry fondue that seemed to be prepared especially for kids. I hated it.

Variety of choices were available to be chosen from the rack to go with chocolate fondue, including fruits like honeydews, strawberries and rose apples, prepared with plenty of sticks, enabling you to shower the fruits with the flowing chocolate.

One of my aunts was very much into chocolates, and still is, took this bowl of chocolate balls. Personally, I didn't like them because there was too much chocolate until I felt like puking while swallowing the one and the only one I had. However, it's still highly recommended if you happen to be a chocolate lover like my aunt, because these chocolate balls contained melting chocolate at the inside that you might feel as if you're in the heaven.

Macaroons had been something I craved for after trying the ones my cousin sister bought from Singapore. Those served at Lemon Garden Cafe, however, tasted so disgustingly different, as if I was eating some kind of colored, tasteless, and powdery sugar. I ended up throwing one of them into a cup of tea and stirred until it melted in the cup.

A few months later, we returned to the same place again, and our comments were mostly positive. It's a great fine-dining place for family gatherings indeed!

Dinner at Ben's by BIG, Publika Smile Aug 08, 2013

Wild Mushroom Spaghettini with Mascarpone. It was very similar to Plan B's Wild Mushroom Pasta, cooked together with small pieces of lemon and scented with truffle oil, but with some sauce. The portion was relatively smaller than Plan B's as well, but it was very filling for me. The amount of mushrooms wasn't satisfying enough for a mushroom lover like me though.

Chocolate Truffle Torte, served with a glass of icy cold milk. It's nice to be shared among five people or above, but having it alone or less than five people might disgust you due to its texture. It was more like a piece of chocolate mousse, served when it was still more solid, but became so much softer by the time we finished our meal.

Berrific Sundae. One of my girl friends who came along ordered this because she wanted to have something cold and sweet. It was filled with a few types of berries, vanilla ice-cream, and dripped with chocolate sauce. Even though our stomachs were all bloated, we didn't hesitate to finish it without taking a break. So satisfyingly good!

Relaxation with Caramel Macchiato Smile Aug 08, 2013

Caramel Macchiato is by far my only favourite beverage in any Starbucks Coffee outlets. Of the numerous outlets available within Subang Jaya or Bandar Sunway, I went to the one at Taylor's University because I was just staying around the area. Although this outlet has always been popular only among the students in the campus, the services provided are still good. It is a great place for revisions as well!

Anyway, Starbucks Coffee has stated that Caramel Macchiato is "freshly steamed milk with vanilla-flavored syrup, marked with espresso and finished with caramel sauce". I could hardly explain why I love this cup of coffee among the plenty of beverages available in the outlet. It was introduced to me by a girl friend of mine who happened to be a frequent customer of Starbucks Coffee, when I was still new to Starbucks Coffee. Perhaps it's the light coffee taste that attracts me, or is it the caramel? Also, whenever I asked for extra caramel, the staffs will generously add more caramel for me.

lol
