Restoran Spice Palace is an Indian restaurant at Wangsa Melawati. The menu offers a number of Indian and Pakistani dishes, mostly featuring lamb and chicken in various curry styles. There are also familiar dishes like nasi goreng, paratha and chappati.

We ordered a Lamb Curry as a side dish. The amount of lamb served is reasonable and consists mostly of meat, not rib bones. The curry also uses lots of onions for added pungency. This moderately spicy curry is quite good in taste.

I went for Combo 1 today. The ramen is the Spicy Minced Meat Ramen. The ramen noodles are chewy and delectable, very easy in the mouth. It is very spicy, which is why I selected this in the first place.

Besides the noodles, other ingredients are braised egg, sweetcorn, minced meat sauce, chicken floss, shredded carrots and shredded radishes. The portion is also reasonably big by my standards.

As recommended, we ordered a bowl of the house-special Ah Po White Soup Fish . The type of noodles can be selected; we opted for bihun. As for the fish, there is a choice of either steamed fish or fried fish; we went for the former. Other ingredients are fish balls and crab sticks.

The fish chunks are reasonable in terms of taste. The broth is supposed to be rich in milk, which gives the soup a whitish color. However, we feel that the soup's content is not milky enough. In fact, the flavor is quite similar to normal clear soup.

The Doleymiyeh Lamb is a fusion dish of rice, bread and lamb.

The bread is unlike anything I have tasted before. It is essentially several interleaving layers of baked flour. The bread in this dish resembles more closely to omelette than bread.

As for the lamb, the portion is quite generous for the price tag. The meat is flavorful but not in any spicy way. In fact, none of the ingredients used in this restaurant is spicy.

The Nest Chicken Rice is a chicken rice stall near Selera Sim coffee shop. It is one of the most popular stalls in this area. The food here is not the "chicken rice" in its traditional sense. Instead, the menu mainly consists of chicken chop rice dishes.

I ordered the Special Set which includes most of the available ingredients. The highlight of the Special Set is the spicy breast meat chicken. The breast fillet is deep-fried with batter until it turns golden brown. The batter contains some spices, so the chicken can be a bit pungent.
