Another new burger joint in townOnce we set our foot into Burger Factory we were greeted warmly by the staffs clad in black tees. I really loved the warm & simple interior of Burger Factory. White-washed furniture, with a touch of barnyard-style design- It made me feel homey & welcomed. Took me quite some time to decide on which burger to go for. The dazzling array of burgers served at Burger Factory really seemed so tempting! Beef burger, chicken burger, vegan burger....and also seafood burger!
And despite being a Burger Factory, Burger Factory does not only churns out burgers from their "factory", but also western & Asian delights such as pastas, Japanese pizzas, fried rice & so on! But since the Burger Factory is called, Burger Factory, we decided to go for what they specializes in- BURGERS.

Our orders took a while to arrive as there was quite a crowd during lunch hour. When the waiter served us, he handed us 2 sets of cutlery. We understood why as he placed the burger in front of us.Americano (Set) RM18.80

The size of the burger is huge! Much bigger than my burgerlab's , Big Chomp's & Burgertory's! Was really pleased as I was really starving (but at the same time, felt lazy as I prefer using my hands to eat a burger)
How did the taste fare?
Beef patties were juicy & flavourful. The fry sauce was creamy & delightful, yet not cloying at all. Burger bun soft & fluffy. Loved the fact that they serve curly fries instead of the usual french fries.
The only complain I had was the curly fries was tad salty & the beef patties crumbled apart- Another big mess created lolMarine Tales (ala carte) RM15.90

I got the seafood burger as I never tried/heard of it before so I decided to give it a go.AH-MEH-ZHINGG
The burgers at Burger Factory definitely exceeded my expectation.
Flavours were really well-balanced. The ingredients just came together perfectly. The double grilled pineapples, especially, tasted so juicy & sweet. Onions were perfectly caramelized, fry sauce compliments the fish fillets & prawns perfectly- this burger is perfect.

Another thing about Burger Factory's burger, is that it made us feel less guilty after we consumed it. Not sure why, but it definitely did not felt greasy nor cloying at all. And the amount of veggie inside the burgers was really generous too!

Ahhhhh Burgers. I could never get sick of em. I am a burger junkie, ever since I took my first bite off my burgerlab burger in September 2012. Ever since then, I always have random cravings for burgers during the oddest hour. But please, no MCD's burger, please. I have only tried MCD burger twice in my life so far and that figure will stay for my entire life. I cannot accept the dry, coarse burger buns, teeny patty (which, rumour has it that it is only 30% real meat and 70% fillers) with the signature "smell" that all MCD food has.

I love homemade patties. Juicy homemade patties. Topped with the freshest ingredients, and homemade condiments, paired up with a fresh out of the oven fluffy burger bun. And thanks to the Burger Boom Klang Valley is now facing, we don't need to head on to TGIF for a decent burger anymore. And being a burger fangirl, I'd like to try out most of the burger joints & point out the best of the best :b

So I was ecstatic when I found out that Fat Boys Burger Bar opened a new branch at One City, a new shopping mall near to my house.Fat Boy, a burger bar originated from Singapore. Fat Boy is one of the longest standing burger place in the Klang Valley. One of the trend starter for the current burger boom, I'd say. The main branch of Fat Boy is located at foodie playground Publika. I have been to the Publika branch once quite a while ago and as far as I can remember I was really satisfied with my dining experience there. The interior of Fat Boys was sleek & modern- Black tables, with contrasting red chairs. The wall is plastered with a cartoon-ish black & white wallpaper which gives the restaurant a playful & vibrant vibe.The menu. There's FIVE (5) types of patties available, beef, pork, lamb, chicken & even vegan!
Price may seem stepper compared to the other burgers counterpart because the burgers at Fat Boys comes with a side of fries & salad.Don't really fancy the combination? Build your own burger then! You can go for 10 different sauces, or even a bun-less burger!Soup of the Day RM8

I know, I know- why on earth would someone want to order a soup in a burger bar? Was feeling "healthy" on that night so yeah... Thought that it would be fresh, hearty vegetable puree soup with the hefty price tag but turns out I was wrong. Lesson learnt.Smashed Potato RM5
The potatoes were truly smashed, and it hit the right spot. Smooth, velvety texture, that gives you a melt-in-the-mouth sensation. The gravy was your usual maggie gravy though.Wimpy (Pork) RM19
Single Pork Patty melted with Cheddar Cheese, Bacon, Fried Eggs, slathered with Fat Boy's homemade BBQ sauce in between a sesame bun. Served with a side of salad and jumbo sized fries. What I loved about Fat Boy's burger, is that they separated the salad from the burger

One bite, and the juiciness of the burger patty come bursting out. The smoky taste of the grilled burger, savoury cheese, wholesome bacon & fried eggs comes together so perfectly. Paired up with the fluffy sesame bun, I gave my stamp of approval. However, I thought that the BBQ sauce tasted quite normal though. I would enjoy the burger more if a unique twist of sauce is added.
The fries, on the other hand, were rather tasteless and mediocre because it wasn't seasoned.

Overall, I was rather satisfied with Fat Boys' burger, but wished that the fries & the side dishes as well as condiments could be improved.. But the main star attraction at Fat Boys is the burgers so all's good (Y).

Chicken Parmigiana RM22
Pan-fried battered chicken, topped with tomato puree and mozarella cheese, served with a side of salad and fries
I really liked the chicken! The chicken coated with a crunchy layer of bread crumbs was really addictive! The tomato puree and mozarella cheese gives the chicken extra flavour and moisture.
The salad served alongside with the main have the same dressing as the smoked duck salad so I really enjoyed the simple yet satisfying salad.Porkie Sausage Platter. Rm22.00.
I wasn't too sure what sausages were served to us on that night but I certainly enjoyed it. Grilled to perfection, each bite was bursting with flavour. The black pepper sauce again, was too overwhelming to my liking. Grilled French Lamb rack with crushed Pistachio RM38
I enjoyed this dish the most throughout the night. The pistachio coating gives the lamb an extra crunch on the exterior, contrasting with the juicy meat inside that was cooked rare. One bite and I was hooked. However, I didn't really liked the red wine sauce served alongside with the lamb. Probably because I still don't know how to appreciate alcohol as most of us enjoyed the sauce =pBaked Cod Fish with Lemon Butter sauce RM38
The cod fish was baked till perfection. Tender and flavourful, the cod fish was tasty on its own without the accompany of the lemon butter sauce which was light & airy with a subtle hint of lemon taste.Grilled Tenderloin Steak RM38
200g grilled tenderloin steak with black pepper sauce, served with a side of wedges deep fried to perfection and a side of salad.The steak was cooked till medium rare, hence the inside of the meat was still pinkish- just the way I like it. Juice of the meat was seen oozing out as we sliced the meat. Tender and succulent, I wished I could have sapu-ed the whole dish on my own =p

Tuna & Ham Sandwich RM6
Simple yet satisfying. Americano. We just need to top up RM2.50 to get one cup of americano/tea for every purchase of a breakfast setMushroom & Tuna Croissant, served with a side of greens and potato salad RM8.80
The amount of mushroom and tuna were really generous! The croissant was really crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside. I really loved the buttery aroma of the croissant, I could even eat the croissant on its own! Teriyaki Chicken Baguette , served with a side of greens and potato salad RM10.80The baguette was thick and chewy, like how a good baguette supposed to be.
The chicken was well marinated and each bite was bursting with flavours. This is my favourite breakfast set in Shakespeare.
I really loved the potato salad. Unlike the conventional mayo drenched potato salad, the potatoes here are oven roasted, and topped with bolognese sauce, which leave me craving for more.

The ambient at Shakespeare was nice and airy, a very good place to chill and hang out. Complementary drinking water is available FOC =)

With cafe being the latest food fad nowadays, it is not surprising to see so many new cafe popping up in the Klang Valley. Each has their own unique theme & style, got their own pattern here pattern there, you know lah.So I was quite excited when I stumbled upon a few nice shots in instagram taken in Wood & Steel Cafe. Wood & Steel Cafe is a new hipster cafe, located in the hipster corner of The Strand, Kota Damansara. It took me a while to locate this cafe as I was just blindly following the mental image of the map I memorized in my head.Walk into Wood & Steel, and you'll instantly feel as if you have time-traveled to the 70s with the vintage & retro decorations. Red bricks wall, with quirky knick-knacks & decorative item placed on the wooden shelving units & the wooden furniture, being shine upon the warm lights, it hit me that I am going to stay at this place for a while.All those leather bags/casing & notebooks displayed on the rack is actually for sale too! Pretty vintage & cool but the price is a little too steep for me If you pay attention you'll notice that their tables & chairs have price tag attached to them too! Apparently most of the things in this cafe is for sale! (:

I was really impressed with the coffee art which was so beautifully done. However, taste wise, it was really disappointing. The hot chocolate tasted rather diluted & powdery, like a 3-in-1 drink =(Breakfast in Bed RM9
Poached Egg & Chicken Ham on a bruschetta, topped with Hollandaise sauce & served with a side of greens
The eggs were perfectly poached as the golden yolk flowed out beautifully as we poke through the eggs with a knife. However, this dish does taste a little odd as it was served cold to us. I am not sure whether the dish was supposed to be served cold or it was left out too long as we didn't get clarifications from the waiter. My partner didn't really fancy the dish as she prefer to have it warm.Chicken & Cheese Bruschetta RM15

The bruschetta was nice & crunchy. The tender & succulent chicken pieces, along with the hot molten cheese tasted a lot like a pizza, minusing the jelak-ness Recommended!

While the food served wasn't really memorable, the service at the cafe was really pleasant & welcoming (: When I asked the staffs for the WiFi password, they replied me with a cheeky face saying "nowifihere". Geddit? (: The staffs was also really attentive & friendly (: The environment was really alluring, relaxing & soothing. I could stay there the whole day.

Wood & Steel Cafe has revamped their menu recently I think, judging from the menu they posted in Living Social. Hopefully the quality of food has been improved too as Wood & Steel cafe has a fairly great potential.
