While enjoying the calming ambiance of fatCupid, comes the famed fish & chips. It was highly recommended by the waiter who also recommended alot of other food. It was very tasty as claim and I enjoyed every bits of the fish and chips too. The chips although thin, is meaty and flavorful. The well-seasoned fish went well with the house-made tartar sauce. The batter was great, which made the fish such a delightful meat. The salad and dressing was appetizing as well. I truly enjoyed every bite of food at fatCupid!

Thai Beef Salad Smile Sep 01, 2013

On our last day in Langkawi, we decided to visit this restaurant which is near our lodging place and because it was named fatCupid, such a cute name! And I'm a sucker for names like that. We were seated in the covered patio to avoid the bright sun. The cafe was kinda hidden from the main road to avoid the hustle and bustle of the tourist area of Pantai Cenang and Pantai Tengah. We were the only patrons then and served by a chatty, flamboyant waiter.

The cafe has a joint lodging place called La Pari-Pari which looked so quaint and cute! We asked if we could have a tour and the owners gladly obliged. The roomed were open concept, modern and tastefully decorated, with a small personal garden on each of the chalet. We would love to try this place for our next visit!

From the patio, we could see the inviting pool just right in front of us. It was cool and calm, furnished by neighboring beach chairs.

A littler further down is a large playground of sort. I could totally imagine coming with friends and have a truth or dare session or just to read a good book. Love the calm and green area, so soothing! There was also a tree house further down which we didn't explore.

This is the logo of the cafe, pretty cute huh?

And they have a selection of wine and alcohol for consumption with your favourite meat.

They were also offering some of their specials but we decided to try something else instead.

We ordered the thai beef salad as our appetizer and it could easily be a main as well. The beef strips were medium well cooked because I can't take it too rare. The salad was fresh and the sauce was amazing. It was tantalizing, sweet and sour, ready to set my stomach for the next dish. We were told that the beef came from Australia, which explains the quality of the meat. It was fresh, flavourful, not to mention a healthy selection eaten with salad. The presentation was also very well thought out and came beautifully colored.

We highly recommend this cafe for its quality food and calming ambiance. The workers were very friendly and accommodating too.

Beef Burger Smile Sep 30, 2013   (Related Review)

One of the food that the flamboyant waiter highly recommended was the beef burger. It arrived not too long later, but the wait was very worth it. The burger was sinfully delicious as it has a nice, thick beef patty. It comes with freshly chopped lettuce and a very well cooked egg. Apart from that, the burger also has a nice crispy bacon to go with. To top it all, it has a generous portion of mayonnaise and ketchup which makes it very delicious. The fries were very crispy and it goes very well with the chilli sauce which they provide.

Grilled Tiger Prawn Smile Sep 29, 2013   (Related Review)

We ordered this dish the moment we saw another table served with this. However, after ordering this dish, it took quite some time for it to be served, unlike the previous dishes which they have served.

After waiting for approximately 20mins+ I was awed by the size of the grilled tiger prawns! It was actually bigger than a size of a knife! We had to actually eat the prawns like a steak, which is to stab it with a knife and cut portions out of it. I loved the juiciness and sweetness of the prawns. However, i did not really like the marination as it was a little too spicy and strong in aroma which slightly covers the flavour of the grilled prawns.

For RM100 (2 prawns), I find that it is very value for money given the price and awesome size of the prawns.

Seafood Fried Rice Smile Sep 01, 2013   (Related Review)

Wanted to add on some carbs into our seafood laden meal, we ordered the seafood fried rice. Although slightly oily, it was a very enjoyable dish! It as very strong 'wok hei' which I adore in every hawker dishes. It determines the skill of the chef really. The amount of seafood was plenty, with squid as it's main star. We finished this in a jiffy and crave for more but we were already very full from the other seafood...
