Steam Chicken Rice Smile Sep 30, 2013   (Related Review)

I chose to have the chicken rice because it's famous for it's lightning speed in serving the order. I was in a hurry so I manage to spend little time to eat. The chicken rice came with a big portion of rice and a separate plate of chicken. I suppose it's because the sauce for the chicken is easily absorbed into the rice if put together. The steamed chicken was soft and smooth. The skin was very smooth and slippery. The sauce was the highlight of it because it binds the chicken and the rice well together.

Chicken Karaage Bentou Set Smile Sep 30, 2013

After a day scroll at Mid Valley, it's time for dinner. Nestled at the humble area next to Daiso is a big food court called Food Junction where the food are cheaper than most in Mid Valley but doesn't disappoint in taste too.

I had the chicken karaage bentou set as I was craving for some chicken karaage. The set cane wutg tofu, green salad, potato salad, fragrant Japanese rice and pickles. Even though there's no gravy or sauce, the rice didn't feel dry, in fact it was supple and goes well with the rest of the small dishes. The karaage was a but hot when served. The tofu was smooth and tasty too. The cabbage was a bit hard but with the little bit of salad dressing, it makes its more edible. Even the potato salad taste good too. Oh yea, it comes with a bowl of miso soup

Overall I think it's a value for money bentou set which can easily challenge those from proper Japanese restaurant for a fraction of their price.

Macau Milk Tea OK Sep 30, 2013   (Related Review)

Macau and Hong Kong are both famed for their awesomely addictive milk tea. And now Tai Lei Loi Kei has bring the popular milk tea to Malaysia too. But I must say it does not taste the same as what I have personally tried in Macau/Hong Kong. It lacks the fragrant tea aroma, it's only sweet and milky. It's still not too bad of a drink just not up to it's reputation. I've had better milk tea and this is not the one.

Signature Pork Burger Smile Sep 30, 2013   (Related Review)

The signature pork burger of Macau has finally reached Malaysia shores. And the outlet is filled with hungry peoples who are looking forward to try the famous Macau delicacy. We were all waiting patiently for the digits to roll to the numbers in our ticket.

The burger came in an oblong shape with the meat following it's weird burger shape. I ordered with all the add-ons, which consist of egg, ham, cheese and luncheon meat. It takes quite a big mouth to take a single bite! The ingredients were juicy and freshly made! The pork was quite hot so I had to wait a while before continue. The bun is fresh and didn't taste as sweet as the polo bun. It was a very filling meal and came with a glass of drink.

For the price of RM21, it might look very pricey but for a big portioned burger meal with drinks, it;s quite worth it. Although I wouldn't visit the restaurant too often due to the greasiness of the burger.

Spending per head: Approximately RM21(晚餐)

Polo Bun Pork Burger set Smile Sep 30, 2013

I ordered the polo bun version of the signature bun with everything add on. The add ons were egg, ham, cheese and luncheon meat. The set came with choice of a drink. I took the teh ais.

When it came, the burger looked massive! I had some difficulty putting it into my mouth and have to eat it slowly. The taste is quite different from the usual burger shop I would say. And it has a more oriental taste to it especially in the pork which was not a pattie but rather a piece of thick pork meat with a small bone. It was quite oily though but the burger was very filling. The next time I would probably just add on the cheese and egg so that it'll be less filling. The bun was sweet and quite tasty too.
