We ordered the mushroom chee cheong fun as I really like the Ipoh style of chee cheong fun, especially the mushroom sauce variant.

When it arrived, it did not look like the Ipoh style which I have expected. I find that the chee cheong fun noodle was quite sticky and in fact it sticks to each other. I had to separate them apart and then only it can be served with the sauce. The mushroom sauce was also a little too diluted for my liking, although it was salty enough.

All in all, a decent dish although it is not exactly Ipoh style which I have hoped.

This dish costs RM4.50 only.

I've heard so much stories of this infamous roasted suckling pig from El Cerdo! And all of them are true! When served with this dish, one will need to use a plate, make a wish and throw it into a bucket. Then use the broken plate and cut through the pig from the middle and 2 times from the sides. The waiter will then bring the whole plate back into the kitchen and cut the pig into edible pieces.

Although it could be just a gimmick but it actually works to bring in the crowd and spread the word! When serve, it's too much even for 6 adults and 2 kids. But the most important of it all, it's DAMN DELICIOUS! It's the most delicious suckling pig that I've ever tasted! It pwns all those served in chinese restaurants. This is not only meaty but the skin is crispy with little fat. Simply, simply delicious!

Iced White Coffee OK Sep 29, 2013   (Related Review)

Being a Ipoh food restaurant, one of the must order drinks is the famous White Coffee. I ordered their iced version and it arrived very fast. I find that the iced coffee here somehow lacks the oomph flavour that I would expect from a Ipoh White Coffee.

This drink was sweet enough and the glass was quite big and so it was not lacking in quantity. I also like that there is a nice layer of froth on top of the drink.

This drink costs RM3.00.

We passed by this restaurant when looking for a place for brunch and saw that there was a huge weekend crowd which is usually a good sign.

This restaurant prides itself on its no frills, self service and therefore lower pricing. I ordered their highly recommended Menglembu Wan Tan Mee. I chose the option of only char siew and adding additional half a portion of noodle as I was starving.

The dish arrived quite fast once the order was made. I loved that the egg noodles were bouncy and they were quite fluffy, instead of all stuck together.

The char siew however was nothing special as I would prefer a more caramelized with half fat and half lean meat. Also, the char siew was not very hot, and it could mean that it is not very fresh already.

All in all, a decent satisfying meal which costs only RM6.60 (After adding 1/2 noodle)

Spending per head: Approximately RM6
