One famous dish which is easily found in Penang is the Oh Jien. I ordered this Oh Jien, which did not take a long time to arrive. It was piping hot when served, which is a good sign that it was made fresh. The Oh Jien here is moderately sized but it was very juicy. One good thing about this dish is that it has a lot of egg instead of starch, which gives the dish a very eggy taste. I did not really like their sauce on this dish as I feel that it was a little too sweet and thick for my taste.
Generally a slight disappointment.

I ordered the fried lala for sharing as the portions in this food court is generally quite small. I find that the fried lala from this stall is decent at best. The good part of this dish is that the gravy is quite delicious and flavourful as it has dried scallops in the gravy. However, the lala is not very fresh as I could taste some slightly mud smell from the lala.

Also, there are many lalas that are empty in the shell which makes me feel quite cheated. All in all a mediocre dish which I would never order again.
