The grind burger bar  Smile Jul 06, 2013

Yes! We have FINALLY tried The Grind Burger Bar!
First impression. Very nice and lovely place. It's such a nice hangout and chillax-kind-of place. You can have lunch/dinner while chilling with your friends.

SO...Here goes,

The Grind House Burger (RM19 pork/ RM21 beef)

The Grind House Burger (beef)

I think that overall, it was ok. The bacon was unnoticeable, couldn't really taste it with the burger. The pink sauce is called dracula sauce! Sucha cool name but it's a shame that the sauce didn't leave an impact like their sauce for the fries! The patty was just okay though, had a lot of meat that was.... unchewable? But there are some people who like that kind of patty so, good news for you! They had an egg in it too, love it when the egg yolk ooze out, feeling sloppy & satisfying your taste buds!

The Honor'lulu Burger (RM17 pork/ RM 19 beef)
I ordered this because there's pineapple in this burger.
Inside this burger,
-Pork/Beef patty
-Grilled Pineapple
-Caramelized Onions
-Natural Cheddar
-Crisp green of the day (basically vege)
-Onion silvers
-Fresh tomatoes and Mayo

I like the burger. (not love, probably because I'm not really a fan of burgers?) I'm not very particular with food. But I must say that the patty was not seasoned well enough. The buns are super soft but it became soggy towards the end. I couldn't really taste the pineapple. I think they put a few of it. The fries is TOO ADDICTIVE. But the portions are really small though. Other than that, i'm okay with it. Kudos to a pretty presentation.

The Wild 'Shroom Burger (RM17 pork/RM19 beef)
All the burgers come with fries. The price differences is because of the different patty; either pork or beef.
Ingredients:
-Pork/Beef patty
-Sauteed wild mushrooms
-Natural Swiss Cheese
-Crisp green of the day (basically vege)
-Onion silvers
-Fresh tomatoes and Mayo

According to our friend, that he loves it very much. The Grind Burger Bar not only has so many choices of burgers, but also pasta/sides/alcohol! The most epic thing was that they gave us 10% discount, but the service charge was 10% also. Couldn't blame them for the service charge because they sell wine and beer fyi. So basically, we didn't get any discount and we paid for the burgers only.

Overall, we would definitely come back. I really wished the price wouldn't be so expensive and the set comes with a small portion of fries and no drinks (which is really a bummer). Well, the place is awesome! You can bring your date here. Really nice quiet and cozy place. If you just want to make sure your stomach is full and have a great fellowship, this is definitely the place. I think this place deserves a 7/10.

P.S The Grind Burger Bar is NON-HALAL. They serve pasta, hotdogs, burgers, soups, salads, desserts, beer, wine, etc... Be sure to drop by, you won't regret it. Though the place would be quite hard to find if you don't know anyone who went there before, but it's the same row as kanna curry house.

Till then, stay tune for more awesome food reviews!

xx

Instaworthy? Cry Jun 10, 2015

"where do you wanna eat?"
"second sunday"
"I'm asking you where, not when!"
"second sunday la!"

So we decided to try out this new place nearby our place, & yes it's called second sunday! Pretty cute name I must say, with so many cafes popping up, choosing your cafe's name must definitely catch cafe hopper's attention!

So there's 4 of us, we ordered french toast, number 5 and number 6. We were quite taken aback when the food was served to us because.... the portion was really small for the price we paid!!!! For example, the fritata, we had 2 miserable pieces for RM15+? Yea and the taste was just.. ... .......... well let's just say it didn't quite hit the spot. The only one we felt worth it was the french toast, the portion was big but well taste wise? I wouldn't say so. The chicken tortilla (number 5/6 I don't remember) was the nicest out of those 3, but then again, the portion was reaaallly small and it wasn't filling at all!

In conclusion, we left the places feeling unsatisfied and not full! Wanted to head over to inside scoop to distract us from the meal we had but it wasn't open yet so yeah, we left home feeling ughhh sad

Oh yeah, another thing that annoyed us was that there were flies in the cafe!!! not just one but a few! I guess the reason is that there was this huge rubbish bin right outside their shop and I guess that's where the flies came from, the more you think about it the more disgusting it gets yuk

Super yummy toast! Smile Jun 10, 2015

Couldn't resist from ordering this toast called honey bunch (if I'm not mistaken), we didn't have to wait that long for it, the place had 2 other tables occupied and it was a great place to sit down and relax and just enjoy your food!

We didn't have to wait long for our food to arrive, we ordered churros and the toast, the churros was not too bad, but what stole our attention was the toast!!! There's two big scoops of delectable ice cream (not like other places where they give you cheap ice cream) and lots of corn flakes which add a crunch to the toast love

What's even better is that the toast was soft and fluffy and it compliments so well with everything! It was definitely worth the calories and I would return to try other desserts smile

Pomodoro (Finely chopped onions and garlic sautéed with Vivo's special tomato herb sauce.)
This was not too bad..

Oriental baked rice
I didn't try this but my friend said it was good.

Creamy mushroom pasta
I liked this because there's mushroom! They're quite generous with them too smile

Chicken lasagne.
This was okay for me, not very WOW to me. But didn't feel jelak after finishing it lol

I forgot what pizza is this called... But yeah, it's quite a small portion, probably one person can finish this, or 2 small eaters smile
Okay that's all for now, not much description for this because I went to vivo quite some time back, sorry!

My mom bought a few coupon vouchers to dine at this newly opened restaurant, it's located near the ss2 square, but it's a corner house among the row of houses.

To be honest, I wouldn't choose to dine here because it doesn't seem like they serve things I would eat, but since my mom bought coupons already, we went there for dinner. They have lots of table and the interior is quite open. Pretty nice setting I would say.

So we ordered quite alot of food because we had a total value of RM60 to spend haha

Signature Nasi dagang RM8.50

This is pretty yummy! But I didn't eat much, but I loved the curry!

Nasi kerabu RM12.50
I think this is my second time trying nasi kerabu after a really long long time, & let me tell you, this is super duper yummy!!!! I loveeeed the rice! I would definitely go back there and have their nasi kerabu!

These were the only 2 pictures I managed to take because the other food we just gobbled down cause we were too excited haha

Hainanese fried noodles
This is yummy as well! Mom & I loved this, something different from the usual dry noodles.

Signature thai laksa
I didn't really like this because of the type of noodles they used. It was kinda spicy for me as well.

Fried fish noodle
My brother LOVED this, but it was okay for the rest of us.

Signature mini dumplings
This is really yummy as well!

Peanut paste
This was yummy, but there were some undissolved paste? But I guess it's okay! ahha

Overall, I would definitely return because it's pretty cheap for some decent food especially the nasi kerabu lol
