Ginseng chicken soup Smile Dec 18, 2013

Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Seafood

Lim Tian Puan is one of the oldest Chinese Restaurant around in Melaka Town. In 2012, they got themselves a bigger and better space which accommodates almost tem times more than the old one. Located along Jalan Tun Sri Lanang there is no way you could miss the restaurant as there are two LED horses greeting you from by the roadside at the entrance. I have no idea what’s with the horse but I am guessing it might probably be some symbol which represent the restaurant.

Anyways, their dishes are always pretty good for the locals should they decided to eat out. From simple home cook style dishes, to some of those exquisite Chinese dish with expensive ingredients Lim Tian Puan (LTP) serves it all. On special occasions, the Chinese love eating sharks fin. Of course we do not want to encourage that, and here at the LTP, ginseng chicken soup replaces the sharks fin soup. With an entire chicken in each pot, the flavour is immense.

Wat tan hor Smile Dec 17, 2013   (Related Review)

The only thing I really hate when eating wat tan hor is the pieces of burnt wok removed from the wok or the charred from the wok inside the noodles. Feels disgusted to swallow all that into the stomach. This one here is awesome because they are superbly clean. But that doesn't mean it lack wok heat. Wok heat is still there an the gravy is really smooth. Much to my liking.

Char Kuey Tiao Smile Dec 17, 2013   (Related Review)

Char Kuey tiao!!!! My favourite. Here has got pretty awesome char kuey tiao. Like most char kuey tiao in Melaka, this one also served with sweet sauce. Chili is optional, but I like the original with no chili added to it. This one here has a lot of taugeh in it, so every bite is awesome. Don't forget the delicious cockles.

Fried noodle OK Dec 17, 2013   (Related Review)

Categories : Chinese | Kopitiam

Apart from noodle, there are fried rice and some "siu chau" where white rice is served with some dishes. But the noodles were the ones that is popular among the customers here. This hokkien udon noodle that I ordered was ok. Not the best I have had, but palatable. The texture of noodle was good, but the flavour fall a little short.

Mee Hoon Kuih OK Dec 17, 2013

MMU corner is one of the many shops adjacent to one another all conquering almost the entire street at this area in the Bukit Beruang. Named after the nearby Multi Media University, the MMU caters mainly to younger students mainly from outstation. Approaching evening, the crowd starts filling the place and the air begins to be filled with fragrant and beautiful aroma of assorted varieties along this street. There is definitely something for everyone here. They serve a great variety of Asian food with a wide range of choices of food as well as a great assortment of beverages.
The pan mee here was not bad, with lots of shitake muchroom slices and anchovies. Soup is sweet thanks to the generous use of anchovies.
