Cheap and Yummy Cendol Smile Jul 18, 2012   (Related Review)

Cendol - RM2

Last year I visited New World Park and I was surprised with the cendol price. It only cost me at RM2 per bowl. It consisted of crushed ices and cendol jelly with abundant of sweet kidney beans, served with santan (coconut milk) and brown sugar. The cendol really my thirst killer under the hot and searing sun as it was amazingly rich in taste and flavors.

The cendol itself was fresh, and soft coupled with sweet red beans and lots of ice. The santan had a milky taste to it, with added gula melaka, the dish certainly was for sweet toothed people.

Cheap and Yummy Ais Kacang Smile Jul 18, 2012

Do be surprised with the price of this bowl of yummy Ais Kacang (Malaysian Shaved Ice). It is only RM2 last year and yet delicious. The sweet-tasting shaved ice, comes with numerous of toppings such as sweet kidney red beans, creamy sweet corns. grass jelly and attap chee (palm nuts). In a hot and humid country like Malaysia, nothing beats the icy cold and pleasant dessert that soothes the throat and cools down the body.

Fried Oyster Omelette  Smile Jul 18, 2012

The oysters in the dish came in two different sizes, one which was big and juicy, while the other slightly smaller and drier. I love the way the fried egg was prepared, with the spice, vege and all, fried to a crisp on the sides while still maintaining the overall softness. Overall a very tasty treat indeed, but one which should not be indulged in often for health's sake.

Char Siew Bao Smile Jul 18, 2012   (Related Review)

There were quite a number of different dim sums to choose from ranging from the ones that are fried, steamed and soupy foods.

Char Siew Bao (叉烧包) or barbecued pork bun is the must try dish at Maxim Dim Sum Restaurant. It was yummy and awesome especially while it was served hot. The taste wasn't too sweet or too greasy, the lean pork meat with minimal lard of its lavishing filling was chunky and fresh. The bun was so soft like baby skin too. I love it.

Fried prawn wanton Smile Jul 18, 2012   (Related Review)

No one can resist this crispy appetizer or dim sum with the juicy shrimps and minced meat wrapped with the crispy wonton wrappers. The wontons are being deep-fried in batches until golden brown giving it a crispy texture.

This dim sum is very tempting with the equal brown color of each fried prawn wontons. Dipped with mayonnaise or sweet chilli sauce if desired for a sweet sour taste, or a spicy taste.
