Bad Boy Cooks, now that's a pretty catchy name, especially when the tagline for this restaurant is "Bad Boy Cooks Real Food". It was my first time over to this eatery, as well as my first time to the pretty Oasis Ara Damansara area. The whole area looks real serene with the man made lake and all.

The Al Funghi Pasta was pretty good, served in thick carbonara sauce with a generous amount of mushrooms and cheese. It was creamy enough, yet not too thick and went well with my sweet Chocolate Milkshake. If it were up to me however, I would have ordered their other pastas with meat inside.

When I saw that Bad Boy Cooks had steak on their menu, coupled with the rather affordable price of RM16, I immediately went for it. The servings weren't exactly large, even though the beef strips came in 2 pieces. So that's why they named it Minute Steak, I thought to myself. Served "medium rare" with accompanying creamy mushroom sauce, I did like my steak. It just was not enough though.

American Breakfast Set OK Sep 11, 2013

It was nice to be able to order, then proceed to sit at my chosen table, waiting for the meal which arrived within 5 minutes. My American Breakfast set looked enticing enough, even before I took a bite. The set consisted of scrambled eggs, 2 generous pieces of chicken ham slices, 2 sausages, 3 toasted bread with the accompanying jam and butter.

To my delight, it tasted great, and went well with my palette that morning. The scrambled eggs were freshly done, and went well with the toasted bread. I would think this set will fit perfectly for a heavy breakfast diner, as after finishing off the last sausage, I was full to the brim. No complaints there on the taste.

Aptly named PLOY which literally means "gem" in Thai, this gem of a restaurant located in Damansara Heights at the modern and sleek office building Clearwater. Ploy @ Clearwater serves cuisine inspired by the Japanese and Chinese culture. I was invited to try out some of their mouthwatering dishes a couple of months back, so here's my take on the place.

We kicked off the evening with some rather exotic tasting Truffled Hamachi. Sashimi doused in yuzu truffle sauce, this was indeed a fresh dish. The truffle brought out the unique taste while adding some sweetness to the fresh raw salmon. I tried one, and for someone who does not really fancy raw food, it was actually okay for my palette.

Fancy having some soup as appetizer before the main dishes? Then by all means do try out Ploy's Spicy Miso Soup. Served with fresh loster meat in Japanese Inaka Miso Soup with white radish, mirin and bonita flakes, that explained the price of this soupy delight.

There's this rather new fusion food restaurant in town, and I had the opportunity to dine there a couple of weeks back. Named after the popular beach in Sydney, Bondi Junction Restaurant located at Setia Walk Puchong had a nice beach theme to the restaurant.

We kicked off the meal with some really thick and nice soup, namely the Mushroom Soup and the Roasted Pumpkin and Red Capsicum Soup. Bondi Junction's Mushroom Soup was creamy enough, and served with lightly toasted garlic bread, I really liked this soup. As for the Roasted Pumpkin and Red Capsicum Soup, I wasn't too keen on the sweetness of the pumpkin, but it was good, slightly spicy contributed by the red capsicum inside.

Up next was this uniquely square shaped Bondi's Special Pizza. Topped with generous amounts of Basil pesto, olive, sun dried tomatoes, capsicum, beef pepperoni, egg, onion and mozzarella cheese, one does not say no to such goodness.

Imperial Garden Restaurant  OK Sep 11, 2013

So I was there for their imperial musang king durian mooncake launch. During the launch we were treated to some of their chinese cuisine dishes. One of it being this Reunion Platter, consisting of various meat dishes, and seafood. It had a variety of taste, savoury, sweet, spicy, and hot all depending on which of the flavours you choose.

The Osmanthus Pine Fish dish was rather unique, as it was deep fried with sweet and sour sauce being poured on top of the fish. The fish meat was really sweet indicating it is fresh, and was indeed delicious. I however prefered fresh fish to be steamed instead though.
