Pan Mee! Smile Feb 20, 2013
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Seafood | Noodles

I was waiting for a friend and decided to try something around the area. Since Andes BYO was not yet open, the next best thing was Cha Cha Pan Mee.

A friend recommended this restaurant and it was definitely a good call.

What was really memorable were the noodles. It's been a while since I had pan mee so elastic that it literally bounces off my teeth with each chew. The best part is, it does not get stuck between my teeth!

To top it off, besides the noodles, I was most impressed with the variety of condiments they had. As a spicy food lover, chili is mandatory when I eat. This restaurant definitely lived up to my expectations.

Definitely worth a revisit if I am around the area!

Beef ball noodles! Smile Feb 20, 2013

My first visit was as a kid some 20 years ago. The restaurant was run down and the environment was definitely somewhere you would NOT bring someone for a first date tongue

But years later, renovation took place and all is good! True to its legacy, the noodles, beef balls and chili were amazing. The service was super efficient and the environment is well ventilated. Definitely a place to bring someone after a long day walking around town lol

Hong Kee Dim Sum! Smile Feb 20, 2013
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Seafood | Dim sum

I usually have dim sum fix at Seong Kee which is the same row as Hong Kee. But I woke up late that day and decided not to fight amongst the crowd for a table and decided to give the latter restaurant a go. To my surprise, the experience was amazing! It has been a while since I had decent, fresh and piping hot dim sum go into my mouth.

Overall, the food was great, service was efficient and the environment was clean and comfortable. Definitely worth another visit soon!

I usually visit the Damansara branch but decided to try the PJ branch for a change.

There was a good variety of wine selection with various kinds to accommodate the budget. Being new to wine, I sought the advice of a senior staff who was professional and helpful in facilitating the decision making process.

I particularly enjoyed the dark and cosy environment with light jazz music in the background.

Overall, a pleasant experience especially for those who want to bring that special someone for some quality time, hidden away from the world!

FAT ONE! Smile Jan 22, 2013

Categories : Chinese | Stall / Warung | Seafood

Had a lok-lok craving one day and decided to visit the Fat One!

Arrived at 6 PM to secure an outdoor table with the wall fan fixated directly at us (by 7 PM, you'd be lucky to even get a decent seating location).

Wasted no time and placed orders using the Table Number Tabs for popular grilled snacks. These consisted of sausages, mixed meat and PORK SATAY. The latter is highly recommended!

Overall, the variety of meat and seafood was above expectations. Make sure to enjoy their condiments too! No lok-lok experience is complete without them, right? smile
